TIME’s Person of the Year – Tim Cook 2nd Runner Up

TIME Magazine has released their Person of the Year 2012 list and there are some interesting names on t. The list is published annually and it profiles groups, ideas or people who have “done the most to influence the events of the year.” As in, following on from the Elections, this years top spot goes to Barack Obama, President of the United States. The decision was made, according to Michael Scherer because “through crises and gridlock, President Barack Obama kept the trust of the American people – and won a chance to rekindle the hope that inspired a nation.”


CEO of Apple, Tim Cook came in 2nd, mainly because he has overseen 2 of Apple’s most prosperous years to date. Other runners-up include Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani School Student and education activist, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and Italian PArticle Physicist Fabiola Gianotti of the Large Hadron Collider experiment at CERN.
