iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak Exploit Ready

iOS 5.1 Un-Tethered jailbreak is under development as Pod2g finds a new exploit to untether your iPhone . According to a latest tweet from the jailbreak developer , all A4 and A5 processor powered devices like iPhone 4S , iPhone 4 , iPad 3 and iPad 2 can be jailbroken using this exploit . Pod2g is currently exploring a way to bypass ASLR security at bootup and make the jailbreak work . Pod2g has helped iPhone Dev Team find A5 jailbreak vulnerabilities which led to untethered jailbreak of iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 using Corona and Absinthe .

Currently only a tethered 5.1 Jailbreak is available for users supporting only iPhone 4 , iPod Touch 4 and first generation iPad’s. Apple introduced ASLR or Address Space Layout Randomization on iOS firmware (iOS 4.3 and later) which randomized data on the RAM to help prevent jailbreak exploits from taking control of the system . Read in details about ASLR technology here .
