Recently we sent out an alert about the Fake GreenPois0n site and its misleading videos on YouTube . Gadget site GadgetsDNA published a report when they figured out that the fake site is actually trying to install a Virus Trojan on the computers of unsuspecting users who are desperate about jailbreaking their device after the Ban on iPhone 4 Jailbreak was lifted last month [though it was practically never imposed].
Here is what they say :
According to security researcher Costin Raiu at Kapersky Labs, a new spam campaign currently in circulation advertises a Trojan as an iPhone jailbreaking program “Greenpois0n”. Users hoping to use the code to jailbreak these devices are instead being tricked into downloading a trojan used to steal passwords from desktop computers.
