Those of you that are familiar with jailbreak tweak Auxo will be delighted to know that it has just received its very first big update, bringing with it tons of new features. There are now new toggles, ways of hiding toggles, native Activator support and a lot more besides.
Auxo is one of the most popular app switching tweaks and, thanks to this update it’s now even better than it was before. Here’s a list of the new additions:
- The ability to hide toggles you don’t want to appear in the switcher.
- New Toggles: Flashlight, Vibration, Location, Respring, and VPN.
- Three rows for toggles
- The ability to place the toggles before the playback controls.
- Disable the ask dialog prompt to remove apps faster from the app switcher.
- “VIP” apps to stay open/ignore a ‘remove all’ action
- Native Activator support
- Support for more languages
- Various bug fixes
Believe it or not, despite all of that it still isn’t as complete as the developers would like it to be. However, they have promised many more updates so it shouldn’t be too long before we start to see features such as landscape support and an auto lock toggle.
One thing that does deserve a little extra mention is the native Activator support. Settings can only be changed by getting into the Standalone Activator where you can make changes to each individual gesture. At the moment there are 2 options within Activator – media controls and toggles. Either one of these can be mapped to the Home button double tap which will then bring up your media controls or toggles instead of a list of apps.
Another great feature is the VIP App Designation. Now, instead of shutting down all apps within the switcher when you tap and hold, you can pick certain ones to exclude.
It looks to be a great update to an already brilliant tweak. If you already have Auxo you can upgrade for free. If you are a new purchaser it is available on Cydia for just $1.99.
