- Start Cydia on your phone. Click Manage Tab
- Select Sources as shown below
- Choose Edit and then click Add . You’ll now be asked to enter a URL source . Add this following address as shown below. http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
Now UltraSn0w will be downloaded in your phone . After the automated process , search for UltraSn0w 1.0-1 inside Cydia and install it.
There you go . Your device is now ready to accept any other network. This method will save you some bucks over Factory Unlocked Iphone 4 . Just remember that you will need a microSIM card if you plan on changing over to another carrier, and in the United States that means manually cutting down your Mobile SIM to micro SIM size.

yes it will.. to unlock it again u need to jailbreak and do some kind of same process again. apple always try to block it, and to tell u apple doesnt make it easyer.

Yes, the problem just is that if a phone requires unlocking, you cannot get to Cydia because the phone is in Insert Correct SIM mode. You cannot bypass that because the phone thinks you have wrong SIM – that’s what this whole unlocking situation is about.
In order to unlock, it would require similar approach than the blackra1n was.
I jailbroke my phone. I checked the sources and it seems to already have ultrasn0w 1.1-1. Is this going to work for unlocking or do we need to somehow get 1.0-1 version.
Will ultrasn0w be updated to cater for firmware 05.14.xx?

What do you mean at the end of your instructions “having to MANUALLY cut down your Mobile SIM to a micro SIM size”? How do you do this? Is it difficult?
u can use a sim cutter [amazon , ebay]. But why buy just to cut one sim card , use your knife
Iv got the udiddfaker app but wen I go into it and scroll down it blinks back to my app screen..iv tried reinstalling it but it doesn’t make a difference..any advice?

There is NO JB for 4.0.2, u should upgrade to 4.1 (but not the normal way, there’s a way to maintain ur baseband mentioned in the forums) then wait for the JB for that version, should be around in 2 weeks or so
After u JB 4.1 u can unlock ur phones
I finished the 2 yrs contract to AT&T and I still want to use my iphone 3G without the data features to save a few bucks. Can jailbreaking the phone stop them tracing that I am still using an Iphone?
I am a happy dude today. I finally jailbroke and unlocked my Iphone 4 today.
To clearify some stuff for those that have questions regarding the jailbreak and unlock:
1. If you want to unlock your iphone 4 with ios 4.1 your baseband version have to be 01.59.00. There is a user guide that describes how you can preserve your baseband and still upgrade to iOS 4.1. 2. Once you have updated the to iOS 4.1 check that your baseband is still at 01.59.00 and ONLY then proceed with jailbreaking your iphone 4 using the guide on this page.

NOTE: I have only tested this on IPHONE 4. I will also test this on IPhone 3G a bit later and post the results here.
guys i make all these on my iphone 4 ver 4.1
and its work but when i turned off my iphone and re-open it its says connect to itunes and there it says sim not support
what i do everytime i just remove the sim and remove the ultrsn0w and re install it and insert the sim and rebot the device and it’s working the question is how i make it normally start why i need to ultrasn0w it everytime i turned the iphone off ?

A good news for all iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS users. As you are aware, the current version of Ultrasn0w cannot unlock the new basebands, 05.14.02 and 2.10.04.

You cannot unlock baseband 3.10.01. You can only unlock the older baseband. 1.59.00. There has been no news when this unlock will come out.

Okay so I jailbroke my iphone 4.2.1 baseband 03.10.01 and now it says invalid SIM .. can anyone help me. All I want it to do is work in NZ its an Australian phone.
I jailbroke my phone and installed ultrasn0w. But when I put in my SIM card, it says “No Service”.
Looks like unlocking was successful (otherwise it’d say “invalid SIM”).
Is anyone out there how to make it work??

I have just jailbroken my new iphone4 and got the source //htp.repo.ultrasnow to be able to use cook island sim card. I went through the whole process and and installed it in cydia but my iphone reads no service. My firmware is 4.2.1 and modem firmware 03.10.01. Please give good advice
There is no UNLOCK out yet for 3.10.01 Ultrasn0w will not work.. U have to buy a Gevey Sim i am using it and it works perfet.. maybe there will never be a software unlock. So might as well use the gevey sim
So after a restor in 4.3.4, jailbreak thetered via redsnow, installing ultrasnow…The network wont reconize the sim, i have try to pass in airplane mode and disable it, reinstall ultrasnow, re-restore….Nothing work…Anyone have any idea

MY iPhone 3G i just jailbroke with the ultrasn0w thing to 4.1 and now i can get internet but i get this 1 bar signal only from it and it won’t show any carrier. its like it changed into a ipod touch. message back please
Install the App on your iPhone via Cydia by follow the simple steps given on the top of this web page. Your iPhone will start working again with any carrier sim you insert.

Did you Install the UltraSn0w Carrier Unlock utility from Cydia and described on top of this page? After JailBreaking your iPhone you will then need to Unlock it (Follow instructions on the top of this page).
i recently upgraded to ios5 straight from itunes, went well but can’t detect my sim. says no sim insterted. went to my telecom provider, they tried to fix but still says SEARCHING then NO SERVICE.
then went home, tried to downgrade to 4.3.3, somehow it worked, got thru syncing again but still no service.
jailbroken already, with the latest ultrasn0w but still no service.
plus my wifi keeps dropping every so often that i cant download anything from installous.
pls help me what to do.

I upgraded my iphone 3G with baseband 5.13.04 using snowbreeze 2.2 to firmware 4.2.1 and then unlocked with ultrasn0w 1.2.4 but when I insert my tmobile sim, it keeps saying searching….. Is there anything I can do? I also have another iphone 3GS that’s also unlocked and my sim works fine with it. Please help me.
Nevermind. I’ve found the solution. My BB was upgraded to 5.14.04 so I had to flash the BB to 6.15.00 and then ulrasn0w could unlock it.

I upgraded my unlocked/jailbroken 3G iPhone in iTunes and restored it. it the got stuck on recovery mode and my friend had to jailbreak it and unlock it. now i don’t have carrier showing under setting or cellular data network showing up under network. I have ultrasn0w 1.2.4, VERSION 4.1 (8B117), and Modem Firmware 06.15.00 and it says carrier not available. please help my head hurts from all this. any attempts will be helpful. i need my phone back =(

hi guyz, I have iphone 3gs, baseband 6.15.00, firmware 4.1. I have tried different FW like 4.3.4, 4.3.5. i use redsn0w_win_0.9.8b4 and redsn0w_win_0.9.9b8 to jailbreak it. i even transfered those two ultrasnow.deb files to iphone directory, btu still i donot have service i restarted iphone maybe 20 times, resit all setting, but still no luck.
can anyone help me please.
one more thing the two ultrasnow.deb files which i transfered into iphone I see them in cydia but in red colour, so i think either its not installed or its not the correct version of files.
