Notcom has released TinyUmbrella 5.11.00b to save shsh blobs on your iPhone 4 , iPhone 4S and other iOS devices . TinyUmbrella is a priceless tool to downgrade the firmware on an iOS device. All you have to do is Connect and Save . The unique SHSH blobs for your devices gets saved in the cloud for future download and downgrade as required. This unique SHSH File is also shown in Cydia app homepage (bottom) . For those who saved iOS 5.1 and iOS 5.0.1 SHSH blobs can already downgrade their device from 5.1.1 using this Redsn0w Downgrade Tutorial .
How to Save 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs :
- Download TinyUmbrella for your Mac or Windows operating system (links at the bottom)
- Launch the .exe file and you will see the following firewall alert on Windows . Allow access and proceed to next step . On a Mac double-click .dmg file to mount it and drag the TinyUmbrella app from the mounted dmg into your Applications folder. Double click the Umbrella app to launch it. Enter the Administrator username and password to proceed
- Now on the application window click the Advanced Tab. Since Cydia is no longer able to proxy SHSH request, un-check “Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit” and “Request SHSH from Cydia.”
- Click on the “Save SHSH” button
Note : iPhone 4S users should not select “overwrite shsh” and “request shsh from cydia as this will overwrite your saved bbtickets (Baseband Tickets). Read How to Restore BBTickets on iPhone 4S .
