I have updated my Iphone4 to 4.2.1 how do I jail break it now
you better not to do that. but its too late. Check your modem firmware. make sure its less that 3.10
Or if you ATT. then wait till JB for I4 release
i have iphone 4 and upgraded to 4.2.2 , i tried to redsn0w to jailbreak and unlock , but i could not do it, some one can help, awaiting your advise.

I don’t understand one thing, everyone wants to jailbreak and unlock their iphone, but they never do any research. IPhone had been out for a few years now and the process of jailbreak and unlock are the same for each new OS and model. Each time Apple upgrade their OS you have to wait for a software to jailbreak and unlock the phone. And yet people go ahead an upgrade or update without thinking. Now their iphone is an ipod and they complain and cry.
If you haven’t figure this process yet and you want to complain and cry then don’t use one.
Do some reading and research PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One more thing, people never want to spend time reading and finding out the answer for themselves they rather waste other people time. The answer are all there, I can see from time to time there are question that needs to be answer, but the questions are asked over and over.
i’ve been reading ur reply n found nthn useful about it, ur just bit**ing about people reading,, they might not read everything cuz some lame as* like you is filling the blogs with meaningless cr*p, you wasted all of our time.. PERIODD…..
James, I really think it’s mostly due to the fact that there’s not a web site specifically for noobs to go to with a page of the latest basic information on it and a page (or few) of tutorials of how to jailbreak, cydia, icy, apps, etc as well as what to do and not to do. Im just figuring all this out myself and find a lot of sites with the same stuff on but tend to learn the what not to do’s only by reading users comments. I wish someone would do a straight forward site (or section on a site) so everyone went to it and got the same info from it. Centralise all the essential information someone! … please!

yeah i 100% agree what you say, people bug me all the time about jailbreaking, at work even at my days off work , i have over 3year Experience on this subject and jail broken over 100 iphones

My greenpoisOn JB failed. tried to install RedSnOw to get cydia but having difficulties.
It ask me to ‘select corresponding IPSW for your CURRENT firmware’.
What should i do from here? I’m on 4.2.1 OS

Redsn0w wont reconize my firmware. Its in a .ipsw extention and it still wont reconize it. Someone please help me!
you must download the right version of redsnow for the right version of ipsw .

I have an iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 jailbroken first with redsn0w and then with greenpois0n to untether it. How do I upgrade my firmware to 4.3.3?
I have already tried redsn0w selecting the 4.3.3 firmware but nothing happens, still on 4.2.1… And I also tried sn0wbreeze but I always get an error (i also select the 4.3.3 firmware). I have made some research, but I can’t find anything useful.
I hope you guys can help me on how to ugprade an already jb iphone.

Hi I have a iPhone 4g 4.3
I jailbroke it and its stuck at the boot logo meaning apple for ages. I tried restoring it a error comes up 3194. how do I fix please reply and email me at sumrit334@gmail.com thanxs
Restore it from iTune and then jailbreak it. Before doing that hold down the Power and Home key till you see the apple shows on your screen 2 times, then plug into the USB and restore it with your iTune, after it is restored, Jailbreak again.

Hey all. the thing is, I had my iPhone unlocked and working till yesterday, when I transferred an app via cyder 2 and it crashed and went on the auto on off cycle.. I restored my i with the iTunes option. Now i dont have an Official SIM card so Im just wondering whether I need one to actually operate it or can I just make it work by directly using redsn0w for jailbreak?

I did everything as it was instructed. Cydia icon shows up on my iphone but when I go to open it it starts to and then goes back to the home screen. Any ideas anyone?
Hold down the power and home button until the phone shuts down on its own, and then let go of the home button and press the power button. That should fix it.

Now to the issue on hand. I tried to download RedSn0w 0.9.10.b1 for Windows but I get the notification “We’re sorry but we were unable to locate the attachment that you requested”.
Here is the kink I get diverted to when I select the download: *** Link Edited *****
To what I know, some countries block this site, for example, when I was in China, Some part of Asia, Some part of Middle East, and some part of Europe, for some reason they block it… you can use the software that can go around the block by searching from Google… maybe this is the cause.

Just Upgrade, BaseBand does not effect Factory unlock iPhone, BaseBand is only for people who uses Locked iPhone. So upgrading will not effect your Factory Unlock iPhone! because it is Unlocked！

I Jailbrake my iPhone 2 days ago, after spending almost a whole day trying to reinstall all my previous Cydia Apps. and finally finalized yesterday with perfect settings and looks, today I saw the upgrade, without thinking I upgraded from RedSn0w 0.9.10b1 to RedSn0w 0.9.10b2 to RedSn0w 0.9.10b3… every Cydia Apps is in the Packages… but non actually worked to have the same settings like the b1… I reinstall everything again, but it seems not working, 5 Cydia Downloaded Apps works, the rest don’t work at all… can anyone help me and advise me how can I make my b3 works like b1 which I spend a whole day on it.

If you have applied b2 over b1, that can’t be done. b3 can be applied over the other betas. Maybe that is the problem?
So basically go with b1 and then upgrade to b3 and if so will everything work on the phone like all other aps the you got from the ap store ect? because i can not get b3 to jailbreak my iPhone 4 for nothing, redsn0w stops at “waiting for reboot” and my iPhone 4 reboots up normally and thats it. Any ideas, any one, on what I should do, I have tried every thing there is to try.

Going to try redsn0w jailbreak. sn0wbreeze and corona are not stable at all. Not a fan of redsn0w really, but am willing to try something different to make the untether work.

just want to say thanks to the developers for the untethered jailbreak. Also I had a previus issue being stuck in the semi tether state from a reboot, and all I did was re jailbreak it using this latest break, and not only did It work flawlessly, it also only took 2 mins. Im guessing because my phone was still tech jailbroken (like using corona). Again thumbs up over here great job. I will donate.
All works just fine. Be more patient. Read 10 times to make sure you understand what exactly needs to be done and then do it
