Apple launched the iPad Mini to compete in the budget tablet market, the pre ordering for the Microsoft Surface tablet starts, it’s all go in the tablet world . Microsoft Surface is a tablet to rival the iPad , and rival it it will as it has an impressive list of specs. Here we pit the iPad 4 against the Surface (please bear in mind that Microsoft have not released all the information yet do we are only working with what has been published at this time) and be sure to let us know which of the two you would choose and why.

As mentioned above these are the details we have to date so as of yet we do not know the specifics of the camera or the battery life. The inclusion of a full sized USB and Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc makes this a student’s best friend.
The inclusion of a keyboard cover is quirky and fun, although one does wonder whether making the case, the thing that is meant to protect the tablet from falls, bumps and scrapes, such an important part of the device is such a wise idea, but that will be decided once real people start using it in the real world.
The price of the Surface is another highly attractive point, but is it enough to threaten the iPad market? It certainly has a good sales pitch but will it win in regards to user friendliness? We will have to wait and see.
