What is Liquid Metal :
Unlike any other metal , Liquid Metal is made up of a series of amorphous metal alloys developed by California Institute of Technology (Caltech) . Liquid Metal alloys combine a number of excellent metallic features like high tensile strength, excellent corrosion resistance and superb anti-wearing characteristics. While retaining all these features the metal can be processed in a way similar to thermoplastics . As the name suggests , they are not liquid at room temperature. This allows liquid metal to be used in high precision devices which require strength irrespective of what shape they have . This makes the concept designs (that are weak in structure) possible to manufacture on a large-scale and durable for everyday use .
