Installed perfectly accept… Why wasn’t modmyi.com part of cydia? How am I supposed to get PADNet without it?
This was my first experience of jailbreaking an iPhone. The jailbreak installed easily with no complications. Safari has not showed any problems. Have not been able to test FaceTime or mms but the iPhone appears stable. Many thanx for the developers. Could not have been an easier process

i jailbreaked and unlocked my 3gs 4.0 ios new bootroom with jailbrakeme and it woorked perfect the only problem is that it dryes out my life battery any answeres on that. thanks and many thanks to all the guys ho made it posible. keep it up you are the best
According to Comex in JailbreakMe (on website) , it should not dry up your battery . See for sometime , if this situation continues , post your problem in the Iphone Forum here .. http://www.iphone4jailbreak.org/forum/

if you can, download the accura battery app and complete the battery health check. you wil have to follow the prompts and shut down certain functions of the phone completely ie wifi, bluetooth, 3g etc.
all pretty simple stuff but i’d be interested to see what health level is displayed.

After unlock successful, when i switch off and than turn on it again I see scratch line on the screen but after it run until menu it become normal.
How to solve the problem?

Re point 3 – requiring an original supported SIM card. Does this mean any supported SIM card?
I have bought an iPhone 4 locked to the Orange UK network, but don’t have an Orange UK SIM card on a pay monthly plan. I have an O2 UK SIM card on a pay monthly plan. Will I be able to use this SIM card (if I cut it to the Micro SIM format) to activate my iPhone in iTunes or will this only work with an Orange UK SIM card?
Any help is highly appreciated!

This would be my first jailbreak…am I still able to sync to iTunes after jailbreaking my iPhone 4?? Plus does FaceTime work after jailbreaking??
yes you can sync to itunes , but facetime ,may not work. Though there is Jailbreak 2 coming next with the fix …

All I want to be able to do, is to share photos via Bluetooth, is there any way of just unlocking the restriction on this via some sort of download. I bought my iPhone 4 unlocked from the apple store, and use a pay as you go sim ( pre pay ) so it is open to any network already, just this silly problem of no cross platform Bluetooth photo sharing, even an app would do, just cannot find anything and been hunting the app store and Internet for about 5 hours straight now, Any help would be a big help thang

I am a first time iphone user. I have iphone4 with 4.01. I am thinking about jb but have one very basic question. If it’s possible to restore the original configuration to the iphone if someting goes wrong and then why do we says it might end up being an expensive paper weight. What are the chagnes of this happening and what would be the situation that could cause this.

after jailbreaking, I purchased a leatherboard theme, and apparently it cannot be installed for some reason. I get a message that it cannot install it.
Why cant I install the theme, what do I have to do to be able to install themes that I buy.
I jailbroke my iphone 4 with no problems and just as my 3gs acted when I jailbroke that when I had it, half the time the apps from cydia don’t work.
Especially the theme apps on winterboard. Basically the only theme that works is the leather theme. The coldred status bar doesn’t change color, the glass battery doesn’t change, etc..
If you want my opinion, jailbraking is a joke, and you are way better off with what apple has to offer. What is the big deal with jailbraking? NOw I have to restore my phone with itunes because the jailbrake was a complete waste of time.
If you are debating jailbraking your phone and your reading this, don’t do it. Its not that big of a deal and your not missing anything.
My iPhone 4 is jailbroken and the only thing it doesn’t do for me is jer* me off. Your obviously doing something wrong, your an i***. If you saw my iPhone you would change your thinking, try learning how to operate it correctly.
For god sake, what is your problem. Not missing anything huh? with jailbreak you can make your ipod/iphone customisable beyond belief. This **** doesn’t know how to use winterboard and has had a strop.
With jailbreak you can:
-Create your own folders.
-Use other peoples themes.
-Make huge, fun changes to the layout of you device.
run applications in the background while you do something else.
-Edit the top left writing that says “ipod” or your network provider’s name to whatever you want.
Quick access toggle options like bluetooth, wifi, and airplane mode.
-Hide apps from view.
-Make a cool slide top which show extra options.
-Quick access other apps while running an app without having to go back to the main menu.
send files via bluetooh which were previously restricted.
-and i can think of more but i’ve already wasted 2 seconds of thinking on this guy’s ****
Hey ive heard that if someone jailbreaks there iphone 4 with 4.0.1 software Apple will know and it will void the warrinty. Wanted to know if it was true if so how do i get around it?

half the apps I buy don’t work on my iphone 4.
I purchased the swirlyscreen app on cydia and cannot set the app up in my settings screen the way I am supposed to. I cannot enable the app.
I known your going to tell me that is the way jailbreaking works, that it is unstable and running apps the OS isn’t designed to run will result in apps that dont always work. I say bull ****. I say, cydia works well enough to charge my amazon account the price of the app. After that, nothing else matters. As long as cydia gets my money.
If anyone is reading this and hasn’t jailbroken yet, dont’ do it. it isn’t what it is cracked up to be. Half the apps don’t work anyway.
My girlfriend has an iphone 4 and we are moving to a different country. The only way to make the phone work there is to jailbreak+unlock. If that doesn’t work we’ll just buy an Android cell…
Once again, troy your an idiot. My iPhone is customized to the max and I’ve never spent a dime on it…give it up.
I did the jailbreakme.com site on my 3GS running 4.0.1 and all is well so far. It’s not a huge deal for me and I was fine running the stock Apple OS but I wanted to be able to tether and use it as a wireless access point. AT&T wants to charge $20/month to allow just tethering (no access point) so I jailbroke the phone to get MyWi.
I’ve used it a couple of times since purchasing and am glad I did. Last night we had a power outage and my wife needed to check her email so I turned on WiFi, she connected (with a PC even) and was able to do so.
Aside from this though I don’t see a huge benefit to jailbreaking.
That’s the same reason I jailbroke mine. To use with MyWi. That alone justifies the effort. I can connect to the Internet from anywhere without paying additional $20 to ATT, which by the way is ridiculous. Other countries allow tethering without additional fees. We already pay a $30 data plan for crying out loud.
Besides tethering I see little advantage on jailbreaking. Cydia apps will often crash your phone. Rock is much better, and much faster at least.
How did she operate the PC without power? Or was she on a Laptop?

Just bought my first phone (ever) i am 40…
Iphone4 cant even open apps folder,,does it have bluetooth?
does it have flash? ot has a bad signal and keeps loosing 3g connection. my wife just bought a samsung galaxy it seem much better without any of the sh== iphone has, why should i keep it.
and if a company brings out a product that has to be “jailbroken”
to make it any good why the F would you want to buy it.

I think you should return it if you dont like it. There is no reason to keep it if you hate the way iphone is. Jailbreaking is not the stuff for you . It needs a little tech know how , and you can easily go wrong.
If you cant find the flash , bluetooth and Apps Folder , i have nothing to say …
Samsung Android Phones on the other hand , is a good choice..

i bought a phone that was already jb’d but it won’t let me do anything i got played. It doesn’t have safari and won’t connect thru itunes. Am i able to manually put this on my iphone by myself?
Am can u help me I jailbroke my iPhone 4 version 3.3.3 earlier today and it was working fine till I go a text on bite SMS jailbroken app and then it turned of an the apple appeared on the phones screen everything els went black and I waited a while I even took a nap 5 hours passed but I couldn’t get it to open again the apple remained there did I do sumthing wrong I had to trade the phone for another one and now I’m afraid to do that again can you help me should I download it again or from the computer idk help pleas.
