Iphone Jailbreaking Now Legal in the United States

Mobile phone jailbreaking has been now legalized in the United States according to the new DCMA legislations on mobile software use. This makes it no longer illegal under the DMCA to jailbreak your iPhone 4.
Federal regulators lifted a cloud of uncertainty when they announced it was lawful to manipulate or jailbreak any mobile device , which includes Iphone unlike any cellular device . That make it officially legal for all iphone owners to “jailbreak” their device and run any application of their want.
“Jailbreak” is a term given to the processes involved to circumvent the digital rights management (DRM) technology running on Apple iphone.
Actual text from the DCMA legislation :
(1) Computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications, when they have been lawfully obtained, with computer programs on the telephone handset.
(2) Computer programs, in the form of firmware or software, that enable used wireless telephone handsets to connect to a wireless telecommunications network, when circumvention is initiated by the owner of the copy of the computer program solely in order to connect to a wireless telecommunications network and access to the network is authorized by the operator of the network.

This is great news but doesn’t really help that much. Even though it is not illegal anymore it doesn’t mean it is approved. Apple doesn’t have to support unlocked iPhones if they don’t want to. It would be even better is Apple supported it.
BTW: Why Jailbreak? and some jailbreak solutions for iPad in iFunia iPad column.
Is the jailbreak for iphone 4 out yet ?? If so some tell me where to go??
iOS4 on 3GS is jailbroken , but we are awaiting Iphone 4 jailbreak . Hope it to be coming soon after the legalization of jailbreak in the US … thanks for your comment

Blackra1n woorks on older bootrom , iphone 3GS and earlier , not Iphone 4.
