iOS 7 is now on its second Beta version in as many weeks. As far as firmwares go, it’s nothing like iOS 6 or anything that came before it. It’s been redesigned to look flatter and less glossy. There are new icons and a whole new set of features that have been taken from jailbreak tweaks. That brings us to the question of the possibilities of an iOS 7 untethered jailbreak. There are a few questions being asked, which we will try to answer:
1. Is there any need for an iOS 7 untethered jailbreak ?
The answer to that has to be yes. Until Apple opens up root access to iOS there will always be a need for a jailbreak utility. The new features on iOS 7 are not nearly as customizable as the original jailbreak tweaks either.
2. So why haven’t we got an jailbreak yet ? iOS 7 has been out for 2 weeks.
iOS 7 has not been out for 2 weeks, it has been with the developers. There is a fundamental difference. iOS 7 is not going to be out until the developers and Apple are certain that it is fit for the public to use. Right now it isn’t.
3. When will the iOS 7 untethered jailbreak be released and by who ?
The jailbreak will be released sometime after iOS 7 is given to the public. It’s hoped this will be September. As to who is going to release it – it could be evad3rs, P0sixninja or a joint effort. Nobody knows yet. We do know that it will take time to build, test and refine the iOS 7 untethered jailbreak.
