Did you use snowbreeze to preserve your baseband
i did created custom IPSW file from IOS 5 but i couldn’t, have i preserved baseband in that file? Although i doubt i can make a downgrade from IOS 5.0.1
Sitting here with the same problem, since yesterday. I don’t think there is anything to do without a original SIM. There isn’t even a downgrade which (!) really works (!) at the moment so we will have to wait until there is any news concerning to our problem…

hey i did my jailbreak when everybody said that this was imposible,i had my iphone 3gs whit baseband 6.15 unlocked whit ultrasnow, i restored my iphone whit a original firmware biiiig error!!!, and then i was without service of any carrier, i thought that was the end, itunes said “you dont have a sim instaled, and a large list of errors and all that shit, in the end i downgrade mi firmware to 4.1 custom (sn0wbreeze hacktivating and in pawned dfu) the ios 5 f*ked my baseband was corrupt, what i did was reload the ipad baseband (redsn0w) the secret here is when you are making the jailbreak in a pc whit 2 or more cores, why? because you most set the affinity in each process, for example when i did my downgrade sn0wbreeze get crashed cause the proces was running in afinity whit 2 cores in the pc i modified that and made that sn0wbreeze run just whit one core… voila!!! the downgrade was succesfull, and besides, when i reload my baseband the app crashed too, i was so f*king scared, but the app was running the same way, in the end when i tried to upgrade whit redsn0w to ios 5.0.1, the process was ruunning whit 1 core only, and that crashed the upgrade, then i set affinity whit both cores and… succesfull again!!! try it if you have any trouble im in it i can help

I’ve had contact with Telia 3 times regarding AT&T iPhones, and even if they have tried unlocking the phone each time, it will not work as their system will not accept IMEI’s from these phones

I’ve had my tethered jailbreak since it came out. No problems here. My phone never needs to be turn off or be rebooted but when it does it takes 2 mins.

I keep seeing the JBs out there for all EXCEPT the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. Is there any chance that we will see these fixes soon? Is there somthing particularly unique about these 2 devices that makes a JB much tougher? I bought my iPad 2 with iOS 5 preinstalled and I understand that there is no way to roll back a version or 2 (not that I really want to give up the features of iOS 5). Anyhow, a very big thankyou to those that do make all of these JBs possible.

Google telia.dk( is a danish carier)… U search f contact Number to call grom outside DK-when u dial the nr u will hear some options u will need to choose to unlock ur phone… Finaly u will choose the option to talk with an operator – when they answer u will just sat this: i have this iphone from ur network and i want u to unlock it cuse im calling from abroad- they will only ask u the imei nr , thats all they need from u( if they ask whatever info but they wont u eill say i got from Denmark on ur CO, , what happens ehen they get the imei? Well they send a request to apple and within a few hours when u plug ur iphone to ur itunes it will automaticly shiw u a msg that bla bla, a very simply tasj. To do , within seconds ur phine is unlocked forever ever!!! Ive done it with phones from other countryrs and it worked 300%! Good luck

Guys to be honest is realy not normal that i call f u to unlock ur iphones, right?!!! I mean come on… I gavr u the most important thing , THE INFORMATION!! U only need to explore it… Is very easy… On the seb page u have a lot of kontakt posibilities , send them an email.. Call the other numbers till u get there… Im realy having no time f this… Good luck
All i can do is this: go to KONTAKT KUNDESERVICE (telia.dk) and u will find there the numbrr i already gave u and send e-mail option. Send them an email and ask them hiw to get in contact whatever.. I realy cant call f u guys!!! I live in the netherlands i cant spend 20 min on phone … U get the ideea.. Unless u dont find a danish person to undersatnd the meniu call just apply f an E-mail… This was last post !! It works 100% guys i mean . Now i also have to do things . Good luck- f me it also took time untill i made it with all the options from the call meniu untill i finally reach the operator… All thr begining meniu is havin 3 option1-2-3.. And every option is divided in 2-3 steps … In one of them ul be directed to an operator( u will have to try all of them

If I am running the newest version of Redsn0w, and a new one comes out, do I need to start all over (reinstall programs and readjust settings), or will it simply install?
Second question…if I am running iOS 5, and iTunes comes out with a new update (5.01) does everything need to be reinstalled as described above, or only on major updates (4.0 to 5.0)?

I have iphone 4.1 with BB 4.10. This was carrier locked with AT&T currently I am using gevey sim to use with other carrier.
If i upgrade to 4.3.3 retaining BB 4.10.0 with snowbreeze 2.7.3 will the iphone gets carrier locked again after upgrade
It has been difficult for me to judge as i dont find any articles stating whether the iphone gets locked with carrier after upgrading

Do I understand you correct? Do you have a way to unlock AT&T BB 04.08.11? I allready tried Telia in Denmark, but they are not able to unlock AT&T IMEI’s as they get errormessage upon entering the IMEI in their system I have now tried this procedure 3 times with 3 different people in their customer support

Choose Option 1, 1, 2. it will ask to enter the phone number. Just press #, it will be directed to customer care.
Talk them and say I am calling from out of country and unlock my phone.
Give your IMEI number of your IPhone 4 (AT&T -US) or any version which is locked.

As I mentioned, I have had 3 different calls to Telia Denmark Customer service on +45 26262626 and they tried all 3 times to unlock my AT&T iPhone, but they got an error every time they punched in my IMEI.
I realize that the number you mention is Telia Sweden and not Denmark – but will this make a difference?

UPDATE: I just called Telia Sweden, and the they told me to bring the phone to a Telia Store, where they will verify the problem and enter the IMEI in the database from there..

Yes you can , but personally I think there is no need at all to upgrade to 5.0.1 as it does not bring any significant changes.
In fact , 5.0.2 will get released in a week or so.
Also , now for some reason if u decided to go back from 5.0.1 to 5.0 then you cannot because of additional security by Apple.
In short , I would suggest stay where you are unless there is significant update.

i do have a quick question guys in regards to the shsh of my iphone 4. i downloaded the ishshit application from cydia after i updated the firmware of the iphone 4 to ios 5.0..i was trying to bck up or to save the 4.3.5 shsh before but for some reason t wont let me do it. It says “the requested firmware is no longer available for signing” but i can back-up/save only the shsh 5.0. but everytime i open up cydia, at the top of the screen im seeing the shsh 4.3.5 and down the very buttom of cydia it says that the firmware is 5.0. i did tried to save the 4.3.5 shsh again just a minute ago with the same application “ishshit” and i was able to save the 4.3.5 shsh while the shsh 5.0 saying “the requested firmware is no longer available for signing”. does it mean i can go back from 5.0 to 4.3.5?what about the baseband though?coz mine right now is 4.11.08 coz im running the 5.0, does it gonna change to 4.10.01 as well or it stays there? i dont have a signal right now coz i am a gevey sim user..please help me if u guys know the answer.thanks

I have iOS 5.0.0 with BB 1.59. I didn’t update the BB for awhile during the 4.0 upgrades because I didn’t need them at the time. Do I need to upgrade my BB to a more current version? If so, where can I get the iOS 5.0.0 with the BB that’s still best for jailbreak? Thanks

Thanks. I did some more research and it seems 1.59 BB is one of the best to have so i’ll continue to preserve that. Has anyone had issues with the network service on iOS 5 while preserving BB? At most I have one bar of coverage regardless of where I am in places where I typically have full coverage. I haven’t noticed anyone else with this problem.

I was told it might be because my iphone has updated software which means I cannot jailbreak my iphone 4??

hey just to let you know there is already a jailbreak for ios 5 but there only tethered which mean everytime you turn off your phone ull have to connect ur phone and just boot tethered using redsnow… and if you dont do that your stock with the apple logo.
iphone 4 with baseband 02.10.04 on ios 5.0.1 is confirmed to be ulocked using gevey sim + ultrasnow. i don’t know if it has something to do with ultrasnow but when i tried only with gevey sim, it didnt work. here are the steps:
1. preserve baseband, hactivate and make a custom firmware using snowbreeze
2. put phone in dfu mode
3. restore iphone using custom firmware
4. use ibooty generated by snowbreeze
5. open iphone and download ultrasnow on cydia
6. reboot iphone using ibooty
7. then do the gevey sim procedure
that’s it!!

okay so here’s my deal. i have iphone4 on ios 4.0.1 BB 01.59.00 (currently unlocked for tmobile, but not with a gevey sim). ive been having problems with my phone lately so i want to update it to a newer ios. what’s the most current ios that will still allow me to jailbreak and unlock without using a gevey sim. how can i preserve my BB? and what softwares should i use to perform the jailbreak and unlock and preserve BB?

ultrasnow supports your baseband for unlock. just follow what i wrote above cept the gevey thing and you’ll be fine. but be sure to preserve your baseband and use hactivate option while doing the custom firmware on snowbreeze.
so just use snowbreeze for jailbreak, preservation of BB and hacktivate option. ultrasnow for unlock. ? what is “ibooty” ?
it is a tethered jb so you’ll be using ibooty everytime your phone reboots. it will be automatically generated by snowbreeze when your done customizing your firmware.
iBooty is to boot your device . when using snowbreeze jailbreak method

I had already upgraded my device to iOS 5.0.1. I have tried jailbreaking using Redsn0w with the 501 ipsw but it says that build is not supported yet. I’ve used the redsn0w for windows 0.9.9b6 and 0.9.9b8 with the same results. What am I missing? Thanks!!!
use sn0wbreeze-v2.8b11. it works.
so basically what you need to do is…
step 1. using redsnow. instead of browsing ur ur 5.0.1 ipsw use 5.0..if you know how to dfu dont then u dont have to click next it will bypass it. then follow instrution shown..
step 2. this very important. after you jailbreak your device there shud be cydia but its white screen. so what you need to do is close redsnow. thats very important. open it up again, extras, select IPSW and browse for 5.0., then click just boot tether. as what i said on step 1 if you know how to dfu mode you dont have to click next it will bypass it..
how to dfu mode. click power and home for 10 sec, then let go of power then wait till you see redsnow bypassing it.. lolz hope it helps
I can’t get it to just boot tethered using that feature in Redsn0w. It says build isn’t supported even though it just used it to jailbreak the phone. Please help!! I’m drowning not being able to use Safari and Mail (which out of curiosity, I’ve no seen anywhere say why it disables those two apps ?. Anyway, please, please help!! Thanks
let me repeat what you need to do again..
step 1 download redsn0w_win_0.9.9b8 and make sure you have the latest version of itunes.
step 2 make sure your phone is in version 5.0.1 and instead of downloading the 5.0.1 version to put in redsnow download 5.0.
step 3 so now your have to browse your IPSW. well redsnow dont support 5.0.1 yet so browse 5.0..
step 4 it will ask you to turn off your phone but dont and dont click next because if you know how to dfu mode your phone it will bypass it.. how to dfu mode. hold power/home for 10sec, after 10 sec let go power and keep holding home until you see redsnow doin its job..
step 5 so now its dont jailbreaking. on your home screen on your phone ull see a cydia but its white ryt..]
step 6 after you jailbreak your phone make sure you close redsnow and open it up again. go to extras/select IPSW. again browse 5.0 instead of 5.0.1. it shud say its recognize your firmware. now hit just boot tether and do the same thing again it will ask you to dfu if you know it then let it bypass it..
step 7 so everything is dont jailbreak and cydia is working..
step 8 this is very important make sure you install seme-tether after your phone boot up.. instruction on this site..

i have iphone 4 locked with original AT&T sim. i have updated my phone to IOS 5.0 and BB was preserved to 04.10.01.
before updating my phone, i wasnt able to delete the call logs as per my wish but since i have updated it with custom snowbreeze IPSW, i can delete selected call logs from my phone.
what i need to know is that is there a point to upgrade phone to custom IPSW 5.0.1?
also after update my phone doesnt shows me HOTSPOT option.. can i generate it any ways?? please advise. i am using gevey sim + airtel india career on my phone.

did you have to re activate your phone with the original sim carrier that is at&t or the phone was activated after you upgraded to 5.0

I tried downloading a couple of apps through Cydia and now after tethering successfully (it showed the pineapple and the computer said it was working) it will not let me use the mail and safari again. Is there a way to remove the last app I installed because I think it created the problem. Now I am back in trouble.

I live in Mexico, have an IPhone 4 with 5.0.1 and BB 4.11.08, AT&T SIM is inactive (with no service ’cause was switched to an IPhone 4S).
I do not have any SHSH.
Would I have any problem when new Jailbreak is out or when trying to use the new Gevey SIM for 5.0.1 and BB 4.11.08?
Is the Gevey sim for BB 4.11.08 out ??
No Gevey SIM at the moment in the mexican market for 4.11.08, but for OS less than 4.X or BB 4.X.X.
Is there any specific procedure to downgrade my OS with no SHSHs? I did the upgrade not knowing the consequences.

My iPhone 4 is ios 5.0.1 jailbroken , but randomly shuts off a lot or when I double tap home button to end processes it goes into an endless respring loop and than restarts so I have to wait to go home to use, anybody else having this issue? If so any fixes?

ive downloaded redsn0w and the ispw, but when i try to run it it tells me “no data” or something like that… basically it doesnt install Cydia- HELP?
there is no unlock, and for redsnou will need ipsw 5.0 even if ur on 5.0.1 because u will have to monte jailbreak thi basicly means u will have to go redsnow press extra> select ipsw> find ipsw 5.0 (even if ur on 5.0.1) and then press ok when it says it has choosen that. presss back and press jailbreak an it will install on ios 5.0 and 5.0.1 when its done installing jailbreak u will have to teterhd boot it u will have to do same process again with selecting the ipsw to 5.0 then press just booth in extra menu
so basically there is no unlock yet but there jailbreak for 5.0.1 which is tethered. but some people having a problem jailbreaking 5.0.1 cos when they browse 5.0.1 on redsnow it doesnt recognize it. so what you do is instead of browsing 5.0.1, browse 5.0.. just follow the instruction written on this site..

So I understand that unlocking 5.0.1 is not working if I didn’t preserve my baseband/shsh blobs since I rely on gevey sim
What if, I preserved my baseband now and would wait untill 5.0.2 came out and try to unlock it with my preserved baseband at 5.0.1, would that work? (assuming that 5.02 will be unlockable in a same way as 5.0.1)?
Or is there any news on a new gevey sim that can unlock 5.0.1?

Call the Telia number 00 45 26 26 26 26 and ask them if they can unlock the IMEI for the iPhone for your friend who is on travel in Latin America so he can use his phone.
Hi, checked with Telia dk, they checked the IMEI, compared it to their database. It didn’t match, so they didn’t unlock it.

Already had jb iphone4 on 4.3.3 restored it, updated and used redsn0w to jb again. Worked perfectly. Cydia works too so thanks. BTW I hear there is a legal Siri port for iphone4 on Cydia using Spire but u have to have the iphone4S for authentication. Anyone know anything about it. I’m not sure if it’s safe to set up your own Siri proxy in order to make it work. Does it mean having your details on a 3rd party server or what? The developer is chpwn

What would happen if i restore with the ipsw file WITHOUT going into the DFU mode ??
It depends on which Iphone it is, and what happened before it got stuck .
I would recommend to run JB Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 it should solve the problem. There are 3 other solutions. BUT THE IPHONE SHOULD BE IN DFU.

I have an AT&T locked iphone 4 version 4.3.5 and BB 4.10.01 which I am using it with Gevey sim in India. I have already JB it (tethered)
I want to upgrade it to version 5.0.1 preserving my baseband.
My questions are
1) If I upgrade it to version 5.0.1 with redsnow and custom firmware using BB preservation method, will it be a JB phone phone or without JB phone after IOS upgradation
2) Also after upgradation do I need to have an original AT&T sim card to activate or will it be activated and unlocked with Gevey sim.

Same as mine, What i did is download ios 5.0.1 ipsw file
Used redsnow to create custom firmware and restored the OS to the phone, after than I used redsnow to jailbreak. This will also activate the phone no original sim card required for it. Once jailbreaked it is activated and you get the home screen on apple.
then connect to itunes to sync back your downloaded apps and for gevey sim it is the normal procedure 112 etc.

Hello fellow iPhone jailbreakers, I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 Verizon CDMA newly updated. I can not jailbreak my phone, I have tried everything that every one else has done. Like, run as administrator and that is not happining, when I open Task Manager and right click on redsn0w in process, there is no set affinity to CPU 1, just start and end process when I right click on it. My laptop is running winxp home edition. So I ran redsn0w 0.9.10b3 first, phone is off and plugged in, clicked on Jailbreak and install Cydia. I put the phone in DFU mode correctly, then redsn0w starts to do it’s thing exploiting with limera1n, uplaoding 1st & 2nd stages, my phone is already rebooting back-up by then, and now redsn0w is just sitting there stuck in ‘Please wait while your build is being identified” and it also says “Waiting for reboot” basically just stuck right there. By then my iPhone 4 has rebooted and I got ah text message from ah friend afterwards LOL. So can any one tell me whats up with this and why my Iphone 4 won’t jailbreak if that’s the case? does it seem to be going into DFU mode coreectly or what? I have tried all three beta’s redsn0w 0.9.10b1, b2, & b3 none of them are not working. Prior to this and before upgrading to iOS 5.0.1, I jailbroke my iPhone 4 when it was on iOS 4.2.8 or 4.2.9 what ever the case, it worked fine and was jailbroken. Then the unthinkable happened and I was putting some music on my devise via iTunes and some firmware update happened that un-jailbroke my iphone and I was pissed, I stepped away for ah moment and when I came back my iPhone was back to factory spec. I was on Cydia prior to that and I got an alert to not update to 5.9 or something because it would block you from jailbreaking your iDevise in the future. But since then I have been on iOS 5.0 and then iOS 5.0.1. Does any one think that is why I can now not jailbreak my iPhone 4 or what? Cause life is not good without ah jailbroken iPhone. Any Major helpage, advice, tips & tricks, or ah solid way to jailbreak my iPhone 4 with everything working perfectly, would be greatly appreciated in a major way. Happy New Year
