iOS 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak Coming this Christmas

Un-tethered Jailbreak for iphone 4 on iOS 4.2.1 is on its way . MuscleNerd tweeted few minutes ago about the expected release date for iphone 4 jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 un-tethered . The current RedSn0w Jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 is tethered, which means you have to connect your device to the computer using the USB to get it started once you switch it off .

Will this jailbreak be ultimate? As in that you don’t have jailbreak it anymore. They’ve been feeding us this and it’s been a while since I last heard of it. I recall they said that because of Geohot’s jailbreak release combined with the new update, they were gonna wait until 4.2 and 4.2.1 is here so WTF? Will this greenp0ison version be it?
What a useless update… we have known for ages its coming before christmas!!! just get the hell on with it!

I don’t quite get it either. I stayed on 4.1 to have higher chances of an unlock and now there is all this talk about 4.2 being unlocked. My baseband is 02.10.04 – when will I be able to unlock this?

Its untetherea jailbreak for 4.2 ios.
The unlock isnt launched yet and no updates for that.

I am not 100% on this as I am new to this, but I did hear that if you have 03.10.01 you can never unlock it.

@ Srinath : the untethered jailbreak is already released. Just goto the iphone 4 jailbreak blog homepage for details about the jailbreak for your iOS 4.2.1 firmware . its done using RedSn0w Jailbreak Tool .

So pi**ed of with this unlock thing! I have been waiting for an unlock for over 2 months ever since I bought my Iphone 4.
When I got my phone it was running on 4.02 and by accident I updated to 4.1 with 02.10.04 bb! Since was this my first ever Iphone I thought that it will be unlocked easy since I was taking my phone out of UK. When stared reading more about the unlock it was said at that time that the unlock will be out at the beginning of November when IOS 4.2 will be out. It was said that the unlock was already ready just waiting for apple to release the new IOS.
Ne new IOS came out but not the unlock. THen was the rumor that it will be out before the Christmas now we are being told that it will be less then a month. I just wander is that true?
Was this the case with previous unlocks. What was the longest that people waited for an unlock? So far for me has been 3 months. I find it so annoying and pi**ed of at the same time because I held of for 2 years to get an Iphone and now that I got it I’m pi**ed of that I regret it.
They always give an update and at the end they post a new update saying it’s been delayed as always. I mean what’s the point of posting all the updates for if you’re not going to be honest and serious about what you do? At the end you freaking disappoint everybody nation wide. Same old l*me excuses after another we need some new hacks and developer who can be serious and honest and plus up to date with their work. Not like a bunch of lying idi*ts.
If u so desperately need a phone that works with all Telcos, then get a factory unlocked set. I got one. If u wanna be a cheapo and get the locked set, then don’t blame others for not giving u the unlock. U signed on the deal to have a locked set… Live with it.. Anything else is a bonus.
