iOS 4.1 Software Update Coming Sept 8th

Apple as announced the dates for iOS 4.1 firmware release. According to Apple UK site , the upgrade is scheduled on September 8th . But strangely there is still a “Coming Soon” sign over Apple US site.
The iOS release will bring major difference to your Iphone . Here are the added features :

What do we recommend :
According to a recent tweet from Muscle Nerd , Iphone users are asked to stay away from iOS 4.1 if they want jailbreak . But for me it doesn’t really matter , because that makes no difference since there is no jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2 either. In case you want to upgrade , remember to save your SHSH Blobs . Read the tutorial and save it before attempt an upgrade . Once having saved your SHSH Blobs , you can revert back if there is a sudden release of iOS 4.0.2 Jailbreak from Dev Team.

Hey Guys,
I’m hoping you all can help me with a few things. I’m a first time iphone buyer. I’m planning to order the iphone 4 (unlocked from Apple Store, Canada) tomorrow. My main question is what iOS does it come with? I’m guessing it’s 4.0.2 since that’s the latest. If so, what can I do with that phone provided that it can’t be jailbroken as there is no jailbreak for 4.0.2
So what I’m trying to ask is how much of the iphone will i be able to use without jailbreaking it.
Also, is it possible if I buy the phone tomorrow, it will come with 4.1?
I’d really appreciate some help on this as I don’t know much about jailbreak etc.

It will be a iOS 4.1 no doubt about that …
why worry , there will be a JB for any iOS , no matter iOS 4.1 or 5 … Dev TEam is the Best….

My fiancee is buying me an UNLOCKED iphone 4 from apple stores in the states (since the locked one costs $700 and the unlocked $1100 so i decided to get it locked and unlock it here by the means i’ve read online). And she’s shipping it to me in Jordan (we dont have apple stores here), she’s gonna buy it i think somewhat in the next two days, so im guessing its going to be with an iOS of 4.1
So in short, what do i need to do to have it fully functional ?
because i read that i need to jail break it first before i can unlock it and i havent come across a jail break for the 4.1 so can some one please summarize quickly what should be done ?
Edit, idk if it matters but i just wanted to update you people, she just baught it from an apple store in Huston texas, and i made her check for me, its still has iOS 4.0.2, they told her that they already have the 4.1 OS but havent updated any phones, only phones sold starting this weekend will start having the 4.1
But weird thing is that the guy there told her that she could unlock it already although it has the 4.0.2 so any idea how is that possible ??
Since you got no JB for iOS 4.1 , so no Unlock unless you JBrk it. So without Unlock u cant use it either in Jordan. So for the moment it will stay like an iPod , no phone features can be used , unless you use AT&T SIM on international Roaming[ My guess , its now what you want].
I would suggest , get the Unlocked version for few extra Bucks. Coz it will remain unlocked , no matter u have a JB or not …
I just want a JB to be available for either 4.02 or 4.1 already! It’s not fair the because my phone came with 4.02 I’m stuck and have no options to jailbreak my phone. Everyone keeps saying ” the dev team will do it, try are awesome” but they’ve already stated they aren’t going to keep fighting with Apple over toss whole jailbreak charade. If I can’t JB my iPhone 4 I might as well return it!
I would like to download the correct jailbreak software. How do I know what version my phone is?
The word is out!! Dev team a has a 4.1 jailbreak ready. Everyone should stop looking for 4.0.2 jailbreak and just wait for 4.1!
Hello, currently I have the iPhone 4 (4.0.2). I understand that currently their is no jailbreak for this version but eventually their probably will be a jailbreak in the future, hopefully 4.1. My question is how do you go about downloading cydia onto the iPhone when I jailbreak it?
