iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak

iOS 10.1.1 download has just been released, another minor bug fix as Apple strives to keep the latest firmware running as smoothly as they possibly can. A number of issues have popped up across all devices on iOS 10 but this is nothing unexpected as it happens every year. That hasn’t stopped iOS 10 being the most popular iOS firmware update for a few years, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak :

With each new update, the same question is asked – can we jailbreak yet ? The answer to that remains no and there could be any number of reasons for that. First, iOS 10.1.1 download [ext link] has only just been released and we can’t expect an iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak to pop out of thin air. They do take time to prepare and with the speed at which Apple is releasing the updates existing vulnerabilities are going to be patched quickly, rendering any jailbreak unusable. Second, the addition of the Rootless security system that Apple implemented in iOS 10 is likely slowing down all efforts to produce a fully working jailbreak.

iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak Release Date :

iOS 10 has already been jailbroken, as has iOS 10.0.2 but neither of those jailbreaks has made into the public domain, nor will they ever be public. The reason for this is because they came from Italian hacker Luca Todesco and he never releases his jailbreaks. They are part of his work as a security researcher and are purely to show that the vulnerabilities exist.

However, some people do question why he can come up with a jailbreak so quickly yet we don’t hear from Taig or Pangu [ext link]. Again, the reason is very simple – to produce a safe jailbreak that works on all eligible iOS 10 devices and every variation of those devices takes an awful lot of work and can’t be produced in a matter of days.  Most of the vulnerabilities that Todesco used in his jailbreaks have probably already been patched up by Apple but that isn’t to say that Taig or Pangu aren’t working on an iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak [ext link] as we speak.
