How to Unlock iPhone 4
SPONSORED LINKS
It’s the right time I can write this article to explain in How many ways we can Unlock a Factory locked iPhone 4 . In the last few weeks the jailbreaking community has seen quite a few ways to use a carrier locked iphone 4 with other providers without using the general Ultrasn0w Unlock method.

There are three ways to unlock iPhone 4 known till now . I will write down the details of these three known methods below along with the process to Unlock your iPhone 4 . I will also list the merits and demerits of using all the mentioned unlock procedures .
1. Ultrasn0w Unlock : Ultrasnow unlock is a software based unlock for iphone 4 which requires jailbreaking your device using the available jailbreak tools [JailbreakMe-Greenpoison - Limera1n-Redsnow-Snowbreeze-PwnageTool]. Read more about How to Jailbreak iPhone 4 .

Merits :
- Free to download and install
Demerits :
- Requires jailbreaking
- Only available upto iPhone 4 on baseband 01.59.00 [02.10.04 - 03.10.01 - 04.10.01 not supported] .
- Unlock can be lost with during updating to latest firmware

2. Gevey Sim Unlock : This method works by implementing a hardware unlock procedure in which the Gevey Sim Interposer is used to make calls to a predefined emergency number which is allowed on all locked mobile phones . As soon as the call is made , the interposer with its programmed hack will unlock your device .

Merits :
- Requires no jailbreaking
- Easy to do unlocking method . No skills required .
- Easily available on Amazon and other online sites .
- Can unlock all basebands and Firmware .
Demerits :
- Expensive Unlock Solution
- Fake Gevey Sim available in the market
- If signal is lost while you are out of network locations like inside elevators or underground , you need to redo the complete unlock process .
Read more about How to use Gevey Sim .
3. IMEI Unlock : In this method the provider will take your IMEI number which is unique to every mobile device . This IMEI number will be then put into Apple’s white list , so that the next time you sync your device with iTunes , it will be permanently unlocked .

Merits :
- Official permanent unlock solution
- Unlock is not lost and works exactly like a factory unlocked iphone .
Demerits :
- Very expensive
- Not very reliable as the source of the unlock is not know .

there is another one, crack your sim, get better effects than gevey, no need to redo it after reboot.
Frank please tell how to crack my sim?
will need a sim card operator, one blank dual number sim card, crack the original sim, then make a new your own sim. it’s quiet complicated and need some luck. i have tested chinese carriers’ sims, it works fine. But not test att or other sims yet. with this method, when the phone run across different signal towers, cell phone can connect to the system automatically. it will not ask u to do the unlock process once more even after the device was reboot.
i will test the mexican carriers two or three months later. but for us, i am afraid i can’t offer the service. i am not in us. and for this, it will request your original sim. us guys may get chance to get cheaper gevey at that moment.
my husband bought a 4.10.01 iphone 4 in dubai & he wanted to send it manila, the seller said it’s factory unlocked, is it real?
There’s only one to know it, pop different kind of sim e.g. Globe, smart etc if it works then its unlock.
I wanna buy a Gevey SIM , n i m in a dilemna that which one is real ?
should one buy from APPLENBERRY website or the one’s available on EBAY r good enough ?
I’ve spent years reading about this jailbreak and unlock thing and I’ve learned that from all these methods mentioned included Gevey and the simcrack, i TOTALLY go for the professional one, I know there are guides around to jailbreak and that there are some hackers that develope some jailbreaks but common, but I prefer to pay for some professional app like jaiphone or sort, if you are anything like me you hate to do the risky job and to the worst asume the consequences in case something goes wrong, after all my iPhone 4 was worth almost a grand, so that’s what happened the first time I my iPhone 4 bricked so I couldn’t help but bother the tech service until they solved that for me.
@iphone4jailbreak Is the imei unlock still available??If its available mail me the cost and procedure….
Its currently stopped . You you Subscribe to our posts , we can inform you as and when its is again available .
Is possible to know thru my IMEI number in what carrier my iphone is lock ? I bay it from ebay lock.

Thomas

Any information when Dev team will have available unlock for BB 02.10.04?
never
I have jailbreak and gevey sim. Works great. 4.3.2
Yup. So far gevey sim is going good with all the small problems it has
There is some wrong Information there. With the Gevey there is no need to redo the Unlock procedure every time you loose signal. Only when you reboot or respring it is necessary. Otherwise it recovers the signal like any other phone. Also, the $35 are not really that expensive, after all, the phone already costs around $500, so it is a rather small price.
IMEI Unlock is normally not expensive at all, often free. All you have to do is ask your provider.
The AT&T Unlock, like those “universal” IMEI promises for nearly $200 are off the table and will not come back.
More people got those expensive unlocks as there are people still with BB 1.59, very few phones still have this BB so one can basically forget about it.
only after reboot u need to do the whole process again, not after respring also.
That’s right. Respring doesnt cause to lose signal so folks can use winterboard for tweaking
how about rebel Sim? I heard it will not need to redo the process even you reboot your phone. Is it true? Why everyone is talking about gevey, but nothing about rebel?
because rebel does not exist? Or did you see one in the wild?
yes, chriss, it does exist.
the point is to be tested and improved.
Rebel may exits but me and my freinds bought 12 micro sim cards and after 1 months still not delivered.I hope not to be a scam site.Always they replying sorry we will deliver next week etc.Any body received the rebel micro sim?.Buy Gevey not Rebel Micro Sim at least you can receive it
gevey pro is the best till now
hi guys!
I have an iphone 4 2.10.4 (4.1) i bought a gevey sim in a store here in sweden a few days ago, they helped me unlock it and it have been working pefectly.
it tooked a while for them to get it work, the welcome screen didn’t come up at first, but after a few tries it came up.
I think you should by it, it works! but watch out for fake sim!
GO GEVEY!!
rebel is not a reliable source. I tried to buy one and pay with PayPal and they said for me to choose another method of payment.
PayPal was the only one listed that you could have some kind of refund option if rebel never delivered.
Sounds like a scam to me.
Don’t order anything to Rebel. It’s scam.I already lost 340 GBP
can i buy an unlock software for i phone 4 baseband 03.10.01 and firmware 4.2.1? cause they told me not yet released the codes from apple to unlock it.
Does anyone know about the dual smart sim unlock?
Can iPhone 4 bb be upgraded to 6.59.00? If it can then it should be unlockable as well. It worked on my 3g but I haven’t tried it on a 4.
Where should I purchase the sim to unlock my 4.1 BB 2.10.04 please. I want to use it Simble Mobile company.
I bought a Gevey sim and no way can I get it to work. I must have tried 30 or 40 times.
Did you check if it’s inserted properly? Mines working great. Been using gevey for 2 weeks now.. 4.1 bb 2.10
Yeah there’s only one way it can be inserted. I’ve given up now, don’t like sitting there ringing 112 all day. Still a fantastic phone even if I can use it for everything else except a phone!
I receive mine by amazon and work great, I live in Costa Rica. bb 2.10.4
Mae, todo bien? Donde lo compraste? Podemos ponernos en contacto para que me expliques bien como funciona? Pura vida!
I have the same problem. I purchased two, one I paid $60 from China they said they are the direct manufacturer, and the other one from Ebay, and nothing work. Do you think it worked on refurbished phone? I did ot realized I had refurbished phone that I purchased from Ebay from this seller who deceived me, but the point now is that the phone never with Gevey. I have tired it all night long, stood there and tested, the ebay seller said wait for the welcome message, but I did, and even waited all night long, and still ot “welcome” message:-(
Hey, me too. BUT !
I think the cause is my SIM. It’s too old.
I Change the new SIM card, it worked!
(If not, try with other SIM, activated, and change ur SIM back, and Activated)
Hi Kev, I had the same problem. I upgraded to 4.3.2 with snowbreese which kept my 02.10.04 BB, then I dialed 112 and kept dialling until it connected for 2 seconds rather than just dialed for 2 seconds. Unfortunately I did both new things at the same time so cannot tell you which was the effective thing to do. I suspect it was to connect for 2 seconds rather than just dialing for 2 seconds. Hope this helps
Cheers Terry but I’ve tried both dialling and connecting for 2 seconds. I didn’t use a stopwatch so maybe I only connected for 1.98 seconds or something? How critical is that timing? In any case I’ve decided to use my other phone for making calls and my iPhone for everything else.
2 things that might be problems we are experiencing:
1. The Gevey Turbo Sim Card is defective
2. The phone is refurbished. In my experience in reading some fo the blogs, the iphone 4 once refurbished, Apple have done something to prevent us unlocking it permanently. You can check this with those guys unlocking it permanenly with IMEI code.
I got sick of my phone because I did not realized it was refusbished (darn seller from Ebay did not say that), so I was stucked for a while and had no luck, but was able to sell it on Craigslist and lost about $30, but better than selling it on Ebay were they take $50 from my previous $499 sale, plus $15 commission fees from Paypal.
So what I did, I purchased Iphone 4 Factory unlocked and new (I haven’t received the phone, but hopefully it’s good).
If you are buying from Ebay, make sure you you ask them what kind of unlocked, not the Gevey unlocked. if it’s through software, it would be fine, but not the Gevey as they cahrging so much.
can you tell me if iphone 4 on o2 network in uk are getting unlocked once again asi heard they were not getting unlocked?
Yes, it should work fine, just asked your carrier if they can unlock it for you, but sometimes they only unlock for their own phone that they sold to you. Good luck!
I wanna buy the gevey sim. But the thing is…. I am using my sim card on my old unlocked iphone. If I get my gevey sim for my iphone 4, i need to cut my tmobile sim card to fit into the ipgine4. ONce i do that, and if the gevey sim is not working, there is no way i can use my old phone again…. == anyone has the same worry before you cut your sim?
you can duplicate one sim and cut it, therefore you still have your original sim.
You can buy a Micro Sim holder, the micro sim fits into it and it then can be used as a normal sim. If you buy a sim cutter most include two micro sim holders. Both the cutter and holder worked well.
Anyone know if Gevey SIM works in the US or Australia?
Cheers!
It should be, but when you buy one, make sure the company you are buying from stand behind their product. i bought a couple, and both of them are not working on my Iphone 4, so I lost totalling of $30 to send it back to china:-(
Guys chill…gevey sim is d only best solution for 02, 03, 04 bb ie 4.1 4.2 4.3 ip4 it works perfect …bt c to it tht u buy it 4rm a geniun buyer..n insert it properly wth ur sim…n den timing is crucial…wait exat 15 seconds after welcome msg n 2 secs after dailing 112…den if it doesnt shows no sim card installed after turnin air mode turn it off again n den again it wil show no service turn it on n off again n after doin dis thrice u vil c 1 signal bar n you wil get welcome msg again dis is bcause ur phone havent recognised ur tmsi no wen u called 112 previously…n ya also if it doesnt woeks reset ur iphone to factory settings of reset ur network settings…it shoild work 4 sure…!!cheers to gevey sim..!!
I read somewhere guys that if you load a costum firmware like one from snowbreeeze the gevey will not work u have to jailbreak directly with redsn0w.
Let me know if it works
Ronak what the he!! did you mean by that?
I didn’t understood a word you said…sounds like my 3yr old girl talking…
As I mention before to Chriss I bought this bl00dy Gervey Sim card and cannot get it to work with my IP 4 I have 4.3.2 F/M and 04.10.01 basband and I’m in Australia … WHO WAS ASKING IF THIS SIM WORKS IN AUSTRALIA…it dosn’t bad bad bad.
I agree with Tony. 4.2.1 with 03.10.01 BB. I’m in europe and was hoping this GEVEY Sim would work. What a complete load of cr@p…do not but!!! I’m so totally OVER iphone4, or anything apple for that matter. I travel alot and absolutely need this to work. Definitely going back to opensource phones. Whats worse is the moron at the telstra shop assured me it was unlocked…thinking about sledging iphone4 and putting it on youtube…satisfaction guaranteed…nuff said
Dude it has to Work…reset all setings by goin to settings general n den reset n der reset all settings…n den try it out n 1st of all make sure tht ur gevey is original…by checking on applenberry.com in conterflit sim….it has to work…i m using it on 4.1..its workin perfect…..bt der is possitive reply by users whos using it on 4.3.2…so try ur luck now…n ya make sure tht u hav cut ur sim properly the sim should not touch the black part on gevey…n ya b4 sayin sumthin to me 1st let me no wht d problem….whats happening wen ur using ur gevey…hope it helps….!!!!
I have tried your method and other , still not working , this card is ### .
Hey Tek, I was told the same thing by Telstra, told me that it is now unlock. So don’t work for you hey mate . where abouts are you ?
Tek can you give me the link if you go ahead on you tube..
Hey Guys thanks for your interest in this and Tony, when and if i go ahead with the youtube cracker, you’ll be the first to know mate…subject , of course, to the success of this phone becoming at least part mine to do what i please, since i’m paying for it. I’m very disappointed. I believe in open source freedom and to use whats mine the way i please…not the case with apple. Oh , and i have no interest jailbreaking my phone, unless need to for unlocking.
Tony, when in AU i’m in Melbourne, just landed in Italy from asia and will be back in asia before AU again in july. Same again in October…i need user friendly devices that dont waste my time with the simplest issues, which is exactly whats happening with apple iphone4. Have experienced other smartphones that live to their reputation, enabling carefree, very intelligent, no stress usage. This product has become a burdon, which i finally decided to try as an option with my new plan with telstra. Shame, as it works a gem if your happy doing exactly what you’re told by those from apple…and of course those from apple…i mentioned apple didn’t i…? Yes i can option for international roaming…but its to every travellers total advantage to simply buy a sim locally wherever you travel rather than throwing cash against the wall roaming.
Ronak, dude…mate thanks so much for trying to help and for your efforts, will try the above. However, you need to take a serious look at your writing methods my friend…how am i supposed to get it all right? Sorry mate i know you mean well, but i can’t for the life of me grind half the stuff yv menchn’d.
Btw, sledging my iphone4…though i believe most people have seen this but the idea came from here…
.
What a guy!!! I’m italian….principle-principle-principle, dont mess with paying clients. Will keep trying with iphone4 and will publish the link to its total destruction if i go there…
Thanks again you’re a great bunch of helpful people…cheers
Hey tek….cool illtake a serious look at my writing method if u say…bt even i didnt understood a single word in ur recent post…nyways…all d best 4ur gevey…hope it works well as mine..!!
Tek,you do realize that all your problems stem from buying a locked phone? Every locked phone will give you headache, nothing to do with open source or not.
If you would have got a iPhone factory unlocked in the first place, you would have not experienced any problems.
Also, roaming charges are not really an issue If you travel a lot, changing your SIM all the time is very inconvenient as potential callers have to know in what country under what number you are reachable at any given time.
Check out global sim for example, there are several providers that operate globally. No incoming call charges and one number anywhere on the planet.
Thanks for your comment Ronak, perhaps my writing needs some improvement too. Oh btw have checked my Gevey sim for originality, all good and thanks for that advice. Next will check that the sim card doesn’t touch chip as it is a tight fit.
Chriss, your so write about what you said about locked phones and open source. Two totally different things mate. apple haven’t got a clue about open source, and thats opinion related…of which i’m not about to get into a debate over…thats not why i’m here. Have bought many locked and unlocked phones…never been a issue.
Re your comment about, i quote “if you would have got a iphone factory unlocked in the first place, you would have not experienced any problems”…i’m sure your no dill mate but before you play neville with me perhaps you need to take the time to read my first post…with all due respect to you.
Roaming….well we’re down to horses for courses really…yes i do travel alot and for long periods Chriss, 2-3 and at times more months at a time…my phones must have local numbers with data plans. Currently on my same Number with New Sim of 10 years in italy, i’m running a 10gb data plan for less than 1/4 cost of telstra 1gb, plus calls, which are remarkably low cost. My frequent visits allow me to use the same sims for each country as they never expire in time so potential callers know exectly where i am at any given time with my data connection and social networks installed on my smart phones. Changing the sims…i believe there’s enough time to change that without inconvenience in the plane while it’s taxiing to a halt.
GlobalSIM…been there and not so convenient as my time abroad warrants cheaper local services. Great for much shorter visits surely. My other phone is a router (hotspot – old tech now but 18 months ago…) in my pocket so local services are far more convenient than globalSim’s limited plans and costs. Try paying 10/20 dollars/day for internet in your hotel ( not all hotels offer free internet)or wasting time finding a Starbuck hotspot. Multiple laptops run off my router smartphone if need be. In Australia i use another smart phone (i have 3)for international calls to the countries i need to call, from .05 cents to 2 cents/min to mobiles/landlines so i guess i could say 20 years down the track, you become a smarter no-nonsense traveller, thus why want to be able to use the iphone freely. Today i made three calls to Australia totalling approx 90 min at a total cost/minute of zero, apart from fixed data cost. Why would i pay approx 50 cents a min? That alone is way over my monthly mobile data cost for 10gb.
I appologise to all for this getting way off topic. I will definately keep at it as i’m sure this saga with iphone4 unlock will come to an end. Am off to try some tricks and do more R&D. Thanks for yours Chriss and everybodies input.
Hi, I’m waiting for Unlock for my iPhone 4 with bb 03.10.
few weeks ago, some sites are started to remote unlock service for iPhone.
but, now, no longer those site are accepting new order.
but, I found this site,
**** link edited ****
Unlock All Cellular
and this site still accepting new order of iPhone 4 unlock.
includes Softbank Japan.
I wonder, if this site is reliable or not
Can you tell about the disadvantages of using Gevey Sim on iPhone 4(hardware and software0?
The disavantage are for me?
1 Can’t transferr contacts to iphone 4 from Sim Card. (won’t reconize)
2 When you do figue how to do that throught Itunes like I did, you can’t allocate a picture to a contact , so you can see who is calling.
I’m sure there’s more but still looking!
Hope this helps.
i personally havent tried their service (i used a cheaper website while the imei unlock was still hot) but this site was one of my first options. i won’t be able to tell you if they are reliable or not, but i can tell you that their alexa rank is ~70 000, which makes the website itself trustworthy (anything ranked 100k below on alexa is reliable in my books considering i got mine unlocked from a 14 million ranked website). i also want to share another site that still claims they provide imei unlock, ****** (again in the ~100 000 rank range) and again i cannot tell if they can do it or not, but they issue full refunds when they are unable to unlock it for you (yes i’ve been refunded maybe 3 times in total now). so, again, *********** look legit and if not they have full refund guarantees.
and as for imei unlocks, i dont speak for everyone but personally my phone has been unlocked by itunes and i havent been experiencing any problems (no relocks or anything goofy from apple). imho the best $170 ive ever spent (gevey didn’t work for me, Rogers – Canada).
i have brout an iphone 4 and it only worked for two days and we contected the company but they told us that the fone is stolen and itcant be cheged so can u help me.
There is one wrong information about GEVEY SIM. Even if the signal is completely lost and the phone indicates “NO SERVICE”, the GEVEY sim captures the signal as and when it is available AUTOMATICALLY. You don’t have to go through the installation process again. I have experimented many times by going into a “NO SERVICE” area and as soon I come to a service zone, I get back the signal AUTOMATICALLY. So, only time that you need to go through the installation process (which gets completed in <1 minute) is when you turn off your mobile or take out your sim. GEVEY sim worked miraculously well for me, hassle free simple installation. No Jailbreaking, no unlocking, vow. TAKE A BOW GEVEY SIM inventors, my wait for iphone 4 unlock solution for last 4months is over now, thanks to GEVEY SIM. Iphonedev team was caught napping for last 7 months and GEVEY comes as a big time savior for all of us.
try to unlock my phone with Gevey pro sim unlock, but i have one problem : My carrier (TELE2) gave me sim card with pin that I cant remove. Is there any solution for me to unlock with gevey sim unlock.
Thanks.
my gevey sim works perfectly on bb 04.10.01 but it never connects to 112, it just says call ended..still working like a charm tho
The disadvantage are for me !
1- Can’t transferr contacts to iPhone from sim card (won’t reconize)
2- when you do figuehow to do that through iTunes like I did ,you can’t allocate a picture to a contact so you can see who is calling.
I’m sure there’s more but still looking!
Hope this helps.
Tony, that you can not transfer your SIM Contacts got nothing to do with Gevey, it’s the iPhone that can not do that.
Every Contact can get it’s own picture, again, nothing to do with the Gevey. The pictures are stored in the phone, the backup and in the cloud if you sync with Google for example. What Jailbreak are you using? There seems to be your problem.
Try not to blame the Gevey for everything, your phone seems to be really a dud. Have you brought it to Apple yet?
Chris as I said log time ago there is nothing wrong with my iPhone don’t assume that there is , I havern’t told you the full story!
As I said I bought the phone in Thailand in Nov last year, the lady I got it from was using her Sim card AT&T , I said that I will buy it if it works for me back in Austria, so I put my Sim card in to see if it would work… It did so I bought the IPhone , but I was worried that once I got home to Australia it may not work, the lady said that there is another way that would work!
She said jailbreak the iPhone. Now I knew about this cus my iPod touch
has been jail broken for hrs (I did this) she had it done for me and she gave me her Sim card to use with iTunes if something went wrong back home .
So I had a neally brand new Iphone 4 which was Jail broken/’unlocked to any carrier I think it was 4.1 F/M and 3.10 Baseband.
When I got home everything was working as it should for 2 months including my contact with picture so you see Chris was all great I was happy, until I found out that face time was not working so I went to Cydia app on my jail brocken iPhone had a look around and found a app on there so I proceed to download the face time fix app and something went wrong it froze the screen went black , I thought shit that’s not surpose to happen I’ve done this heaps of time with no problem, I ended up using Itune to bring it back to normal , don’t remember what happen but after that I lost my unlock and jail break that was 3 months ago since have been praying for the Dev team to bring out one for iPhone 4 with my F/m and baseband, I did manage to jailbreak teathed but that’s it .
Then I heard of Gevey Sim I bought one and tryed it didn’t work till someone here said to make sure I have the latest iTunes and F/M 4.3.2 . Bingo now it works but not the contact picture part .
Hope you understand Chris where I’m at here as all this time I’m on my IPhone 4.
Cheers Tony
All was good while in Thailand for the remaining time there 4 days when I got to Australia iPhone was working as it should my contact with picture were working fine everything was super for 2 months except face time so I went to Cydia (jailbreak app)and that’
Dissregard the last sentence guys didn’t know that I doubled up sorry .
Thanks Tony
I have iphone 4 4.3.1
baseband is 4.10.01
never jailbreaked never unlocked.
Ques:
1) what baseband will be after upgrading to 4.3.2
2)whatever new baseband after upgrading to 4.3.2, is that baseband available to unlock?
3)is there any any way which can unlock above mentioned iphone? (4.3.1 and bb 4.10.01)
4) can i change 4.3.1 baseband to available unlockable
i dont have any baseband saved, as i just got this and never jailbreaked nor unlocked.
thanx
sanket
Hello Sanket, after upgrading to 4.3.2, your baseband will remain the same, i.e. 4.10.01. Unfortunately, that baseband is unlockable. You have to buy Gevey Sim in order for you to use your phone. You cannot change the baseband of your phone. I have tried that so many times. I even copied a friend’s baseband, didn’t work. I bought a Gevey Sim from Amazon, up to now, it’s still working. Minor glitches are there of course. Like if a contact is calling you, his/her name wouldn’t appear. The solution here is to copy the contact telephone number, paste it into the iphone number of the contact and then edit the original number to include the country code. As for the respringing issue, should it be necessary to turn off your phone, then you can do this:
1. Turn Off and then On ur Iphone 4.
2. “Searching” message appears at the top.
3. Whie it is searching, go to setting ->Phone->SIM applications-> IT will show heading as – “Gevery Technology” and the languages application.
4. Click on “English” (or whichever is required) & press home button quickly.. you will get the Gevey Menu Screen with Accept or Cancel option..
5. Follow the next process of dialling 112 & Airplane mode etc, as normal
thanks for leaving your comments
hi there. i found a iPhone on ebay and its from AT&T. i was worried about it because i am from canada and AT&T is from US. I dont really know if you could still used the phone here in canada with a canada provider?
Hi marc,
I used to live in Toronto, and now I moved to the U.S.
to answer your question. It depends on the type of iphone and it’s baseband you’re going to buy.
If you purchase iphone:
3GS – any versions and baseband = Unlockable
iphone4 with baseband 01.59.00 ONLY = Unlockable
then you can jailbreak and unlock and you’ll THEN be able to use it on Rogers or Fido networks.
Good Luck
I have an I-phone 4
Version 4.2.1
Modem Firmware 03.10.01
How to get it unlocked?
I have seen videos about Ultrasnow, but was unable to find the unlocking for Modem Firmware 03.10.01
Could you please let me know if there is anyway of Unlocking I-phone 4 using any Software unlocks.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry to say there are no unlocks for iPhone4 Fireware 02.10.04 or 03.10.01 at the moment. No ETA either.
I too is waiting for unlock for iPhone4 bb 02.10.04
I will be switching soon from T-Mobile to PrePaid service (h2o wireless) which uses AT&T towers. so no unlock needed.
Good Luck
Thanks Allan for your reply. Are there any chances that we might get an unlock for this firmware.
Or can I go for the Turbo Sim unlock. Will that be a good idea.
I am replying to you on my iPhone 4 4.2.1 3.10.01 with gevey sim unlock so what u say is not true. But I will tell you that rebel sim is fake.

This website doesn’t support Iphone 4. Please don’t post erroneous information. There’s enough issues here with poor communication…
I’ll try this again as for some “odd” reason mt first try at posting this failed to submit.
Thats great Serene….do you own the site “Superunlockcodes.com”, because i’d have to be absolutely out of my mind to “very easily” pay US$167 to unlock a iphone4 from telstra mobile when, if you really want to, you can just ring them and with a valid reason, they will unlock it for you, free!, or at a much lower cost. What a ripoff!!! People really need to take a serious look at these sites offering wonder deals on iphone unlocking, when its usually done without a fuss and low cost from their carriers. I’ve tried 2 things…UNLOCK-IPHONE.ORG, AU$29 and tried everything they offered….Failure!!! Support, as they mention total support and REFUND…Failure!!! Wrote them a letter stating i liked what their service provides and really want it to work for me rather than a refund….Failure!!!, as they havent even bothered to write, nor even offer a refund. Oh and just for the record “UNLOCK-IPHONE.ORG”…you can have my money guys, what i’ve mentioned about you here is priceless. You cant live long ripping people off my friends.
Have bought the Gevey Sim unlock…..Failure. I’m no dill when it comes to electronics and technolgy, in fact quite the opposite. I believe in doing well for people. I dont like being ripped off and i guess i can speak for all. I’ll pay anything for a service that works, only if there is no choice, so its absolutely nothing to do with the money, more so, principle.
All i suggest to anybody who wants to unlock their phone…dont go to these sites unless jailbreaking is what you really want.
If you only want to unlock, for crying out loud, try your carrier first and if that fails, ok. Tell them you’re away for work months at a time and international roaming isnt the answer for you. That is my case and they are in the process of unlocking it as i write, free…but only because they told me it was unlocked when they gave me the phone on a plan. However, the cost for unlocking will never exceed the the above for SuperUnlockCodes.com, these guys must be nuts!!!! Once you’re unlocked from your carrier, without failing issues like the above in my experience…you can proceed with your jailbreak. I couldnt care less about it so its not for me. Apple marketing strategy and their hundreds of thousands apps are useless for me as i only need a couple of apps to work. Why people buy a apple iphone to jailbreak is beyond me…just buy a smarter phone that allows any mods or open source movements and you’ll find what you want out there in terms of apps….beats all the headaches i’ve been reading about iphone hacking in the past months, its just not worth it.
Its the first apple product i’ve owned and coming from the better side of technology, I will never buy another apple product again. in my opinion, they just aren’t any better, especially when itunes and apple are the controllers. Why give them my money to control my product? It’s mine (isn’t it)? I should be able to decide what i want to do with it.
I speak for myself here and not wanting to offend anybody and apologise if have done so. Hope all carriers out there are as kind as mine was for me. Have a luvly day all.
Having just read Buwha’s comment: i couldn’t agree more with you. People be wiser.
thanks for leaving your comments Tex .

Swap iPhone 4 32 GB on O2 for iPhone 4 on Orange
I brought a one week old iPhone 4 on O2 off a friend thinking I could unlock the carrier and slot my Orange sim in. I have had it for two months now and have been using it around the house as an iPod as it connects to my wifi. It doesn’t seem like there is going to be a carrier unlock released any time soon after reading endless threads on here, so I am looking to swap for an equivalent iPhone on Orange.
It is in mint condition and I have the box/charger/headphones etc. Pictures can be provided if needed.
I am UK based and am in Birmingham and Manchester regularly.
Please email me on mosch1one@hotmail.com if anyone is interested.
hi every one ihave an iphone 4 ios 4.3.2 factory unlocked but after the official unlock i have the signal network and the phone work normaly but passed a few minutes i loose the signal and i have the itunes logo and the cable i restore it twice and olso have the same probleme i m afraid it s a hardware or material bug please help me thank s.
This is not sounding healthy. Just bring it back to the shop (if you bought it online, send it direct to Apple) normally they will simppy exchange your unit against a new one
Alright, well I’m getting my new white iPhone 4 (I live in Canada, it was released about a week ago) really soon and I was wondering what were the steps you have to take to activate, jailbreak (untethered) and unlock the iPhone properly, without a permanent sim card! (I could borrow a friend’s sim card for a while if it is required for some steps, but I then need my iPhone to be completely independent.)
I wanna see what it’s capable of on wifi before going to get a monthly plan.
@Zaid : to activate with org sim , u need snowbreeze , use the links here : http://www.iphone4jailbreak.org/4-3-3-jailbreak-iphone-4.html
If u used gevey sim and u lost signal u don’t have to do the process again automacly get signal itself. I know b cuz I have gevey on bb 4.10.01
From : Belarus
I have sim locked phone 4.2.1 broadband 03.10.01
Are there some ways to unlock it ?
Gevey sim, that simple!
All you fools, gevey sim works!! Forget about rebel sim! Do a little research before you have ignorant questions. GOOGLE tells you just about everything….
Gevey sim works for my US iphone, which I use in Europe!
Make sure you follow instructions properly.
I just find one thing with my gevey sim. It works pretty well. except one thing. If I unlock my iphone with “enable 3g” on, then after i unlock it, i cannot turn it off, vice verse. If i do, then i need to go thru the unlock process again.
It takes only 1 min to unlock it, not a big deal. But just wonder if anyone has the same problem? Sometimes, my battery is low, just want to turn 3g off.
One more question, I am using simplemobile in USA. As I heard, it use edge, never 3g. So does it mean that we don’t even need to enable 3g since it is not gonna be 3g?
I am totally with you. I paid 30 dollars for it and never heard abck from them. I saw that ad here at this blog. It was like 5 months ago when i ws so desperate to unlock my iphone after having it for 3 months.
