How to Save iOS 5.1 – 5.0.1 – 5.0 SHSH Blobs

Download TinyUmbrella version 5.1 beta 1 from here and install on your Mac or PC . Connect your device with the computer and allow TinyUmbrella to detect ans show it on the left hand panel . Now select your device and click on “Save SHSH” to save your shsh blobs .

How to save iOS 5.0.1 and iOS 5.0 Firmware :

To save SHSH for iOS 5.0.1 and iOS 5.0 you have to download iFaith version 1.4 . This application supports all iOS devices as long as they are running iOS 5.0.x inspite of Apple signing older firmware . A5 processor powered devices are not supported yet . Note that iFaith is only supported to worn on Windows operating system including Windows XP .

Proceed according to te onscreen instructions and put your device in DFU mode  . After your device is detected in DFU mode iFaith will do its work and Save your SHSH Blobs . Choose the location to save your SHSH Blobs on your computer . A copy of the SHSH Blobs is also sent to Saurik’s Server for retrieving later .

How to enter DFU Mode :

  • Hold down Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
  • Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
  • You device will now enter DFU mode
