I tried to jailbreak my iphone4 (4.0.1) with Modem firmware 1.59.00 but it doesn’t work i just get a website background…then i tried my old 3gs (4.0.1) with 5.13.04 itg still have the same thing. I’m not sure I’m doing the right thing. Is anyone experiencing the same situation? or is it just me? Please comment and help me find my a way cuz both of my phone can’t be unlock…sadness no phone =/

Some one sstated to turn off pop up blocker!! I did and everything went through perfectly! Cydia updating and downloading seems slow today for some reason! ME WONDERS:-)

This works on iPhone 4.0.1 (8A306) correct? And if I wanted to revert my phone back to the way it was before jailbreaking with no issues, that’s possible, right?
After jailbreaking, how do I enable the winterboard icon on homescree in iphone 4, I do not see it. When i click on cydia , then on winterboard it says it is already installed, but no icon though.
I had to restart my iPhone 4 to get Winterboard to show up.
I think it’s hilarious and extremely annoying when people post questions that are clearly answered in the tutorial. It’s like you don’t even read it and just ask people what it is?!

there are a few errors on cydia i believe i jb my old 3g and installed the same themes and fonts and the fonts wont change and the full themes arent showing up but maybe it will in a day or 2 thoughts ?

Does the JB apply to US phones only? Because in Singapore the phone is not locked to Operators and previously had a bad experience with JB+unlock. After the JB+unlock, cannot find any operator signal

I have an iphone 4 with software 4.0.1(8A306) and Firmware 01.59.00. I tried to Jailbreak it but when I go to the website it goes to the “Downloading” screen then after it finishes there the screen closes it doesn’t go to the “jailbreaking” screen. What am i doing wrong?? Help please!!

Jailbroke iphone 4 0n 4.0.1 and downloaded winterboard but winterboard icon just doesn’t appear. Have restored and jailbroke over a dozen times now and still cannot get winterboard icon to appear. I reboot after every install attempt. It all worked fine on 4.0.0 then i upgraded to 4.0.1 then no winterboard icon & i can’t workout how to downgrade to 4.0.0 again.

I have an iphone4 with 4.01 OS. The only thing I am interested is to be able to use it overseas. I know I have to do the jailbreak part and then unlock it. I also read something about having the original sim in the phone. What’s that about. Does it mean that it can’t be jailbroken or unlocked without the original at&t sim. Also what would be the sequencial order of steps. Appreciate any help.

You have to connect to iTunes. You don’t have to activate your phone to do this. In fact, you can’t activate your phone until you connect to iTunes. If you call and try to activate it without conncting to iTunes, they make you do it. I played on Safari and played on-line games on my iPhone 4 all night before I called the next day and activated it.

Anyone come out with a jailbreak for the 4.0.2 firmware update yet, i made the mistake of syncing my phone to my itunes and it updated itself after it downloaded the update from apple when i woke up in the morning my cydia was gone.

if you have updated ur iphone to 4.1 without preserving the bb you need to wait for the unlock which will be released after the release of ios 4.2.

here is the solve to this problem!!!
Im not sure what are you using to do the Jailbreak, but if u are using Redsnow, the first time you do the jailbreak and is already done then you will get a white square and it wont works while !!!(is possible other app dont works too)… At this moment you can re-connect your device and to open redsnow, select your firmware bla bla and finally dont tick the option install Cydia (just the firstime when u are doing the jailbreak), you have to tick “boot thetered” then ur device will be rebooted and finally your cydia will be working !!!
PSD: Each time you reboot ur device you have to open redsnow with this tethered option, otherwise nothing will be work on ur iPhone, except the main app from ur iPhone.

Hello. I have encountered this problem with my iPhone for the 3rd time. For some reason after like some days my home screen display doesn’t show up. As in when i call onto my iPhone from the other number, it says the bell is ringing but it never shows up on iphone and it is kind of dead. Then i go to my nearest Mobile Shop and he revives the iPhone for me somehow but he wouldn’t tell me how. So i am here asking any of you guys know about this problem. someone asked me to re-jail break it and then get the new software. is this the real issue or are there any hardware issues here. Please Reply to post soon! i’ll be waiting, as my iPhone is not showing display right now, AGAIN !!!

Hey, I had this problem on my newly purchased iPhone 4.
I think it’s a problem with the proximity sensor that would normally be used during calls to turn the screen off.
Try holding the home button and the lock (power) button together for 10-15 seconds or until the handset displays the Apple logo and restarts.

I have i4 with IOS 4.0.2(8A400),BB 01.59.00, jailbroken and unlocked with Limera1n, it works fine.
I want to upgrade its IOS to the latest version by preserving the BB to unlock it again.

I have baseband 01.59 btw. Now I have just the apple logo on the screen when I attempt to reset. Nothing loads after reset, only see the logo. Once in awhile I get the screen which tells you to connect USB and open iTunes.

I just jailbreak my iphone 4 V.4.2.1 from pois0n successful, then when I insert my sim card(from tmobile, it’s still not working. Is there anything else I need to do to get it work? Please help.
