How-to Install WinterBoard Themes App on iPhone

Apple wont allow themes to be installed on your iPhone 4 iPod touch . So how do you do it ? Jailbreaking is the answer. Jailbreak your iPhone first then Install Winterboard and then the themes. This short tutorial will explain exactly how to do that on your iPhone 4 3GS 3G .

What is Winterboard ?

For beginners , Winterboard is a jailbreak app from Saurik (the developer of Cydia) that is primarily used to change the visual appearance of iPhone or iPod touch 4 . Winterboard is one popular jailbreak app to easily customize the looks of your iPhone dashboard.

Features include : Docked Graphics – Wallpapers – Custom Icons – Personalised Lockscreen .

  1. First Jailbreak your iPhone using the JailbreakMe tutorial .
  2. Now in Cydia search for Winterboard. Install it and reboot your device. You are now ready to install themes on your iPhone .installing-winterboard
  3. Now inside Winterboard settings search and select your favorite themes and customization. One of my favorite is FlowDock.WinterBoard-Cydia
  4. Flow Dock looks pretty nice but there are a few restrictions to it. First you need to have atleast 5 apps in your dock and secondly , these apps have to be Safari, Mail, Phone, iPod
    & SMS.flow_dock_iphone_4_themes_

    Why on earth doesnt apple let users change the themes/icons/wallpapers etc in the first place!? I wouldnt pay £500 for a phone that you cannot do anything with! What exactly is it good for if you cannot do anything to/with it except browse internet, play games, make calls and send messages and emails?! like any other cheaper phone isnt it..

    Hi der, i am using iphone 4 i try several times to install winterboard but i failed, during rebooting process my iphone hang at apple logo for few hrs.. I manage to fix by restoring back but still after i went back cydia and install it happen again n again.. Can anybody help i really want to have winterboard..
