How to Get Back Old Maps App on iOS 6

Some people may definitely be upset with the replacement of Google maps on iOS 6 with Apple’s own version of 3D maps . Steps to Install Google Maps on iPhone and iPod Touch :

First open Mobile Safari
Type in maps.google.com
Allow “Use Location” features when asked . Now you will be able to see the maps for your location
A pop up will appear asking to add the icon on your homescreen .
The home-screen icon resembles the new map icon on iOS .This creates a quick access bookmark for you . Just tap to launch it

Cons :

HTML 5 version of this Google Maps runs on Mobile Safari and isn’t as quick or well polished as the old iOS 5 version. Although many features are there, including public transport and walking directions.
