It’s been 6 months since the Samsung Galaxy S III was released to the world and, just recently we’ve been hearing quite a of rumor and speculation about the proposed S IV. The rumors just keep on coming and now a new report has surfaced, straight from the homeland of Samsung themselves, South Korea. This report says that Samsung are hard at work to get the S IV released in April 2013, with the intention of bringing it into line with the Galaxy Note series.
According to the rumors, the S IV will feature :
- 5” AMOLED screen
- Full HD 1080 x 1920 resolution at 441ppi
- 13 megapixel rear facing camera
- EXYNOS 5440 quad-core processor or ARM’s little.BIG processor, a combination of the Samsung S7 processor for basic use and the far more powerful A15 for more intensive use, like gaming.
It is claimed that the S IV will be slightly chunkier at 9.1mm as opposed to the S3’s svelte figure of 8.6mm. There is also talk of a feature from the Galaxy Note II appearing with the S IV, the S Pen, although it’s not really clear how many people want the worry of additional technology. Most seem to be quite happy with the touch screen facility and an S Pen is just something else that will get lost or discarded somewhere along the way
Another report claims to have got hold of the first model numbers for the S IV – the GT-I9500 and GT-I9505. As with everything, seeing really is believing but, if these rumors are correct, we won’t have too long to wait before the S IV becomes a reality.
