Why when I select my Settings icon then select General then select About does my 16 GB iPhone 4 show only 14 GB capacity ? Is that right? Where are the other 2 GB I paid for when I bought the 16 GB iPhone ? Does that mean if I purchased the 32 GB iPhone it would only register as 30 GB under the capacity ? If so what a rip what if I really needed to have 16 GB available for my information I needed to store on the phone then I guess I should have been told to purchase the 32 GB in order for that to be available !

Because some memory space is held up by the system files .
