Q. | Warranty Concern Over Swapping Iphone 4 with a Friend for Jailbreaking |

Question Posted by :Edward Perez
I just bought an iPhone 4 and it turns out it has 4.0.2. Can’t jailbreak it. My neighbor, who is with at&t, has an iPhone which has 4.0.1. I’ve asked her if she would be willing to trade me so I can my unlocked iPhone 4. She’s okay with it but has one concern. Shes worried she will have problems with the warranty. Believes her purchase will show the serial # of the one she gives me. Will there be a problem ?
Thanks for your time .

i think it would be just fine … during the warranty claim , you can say , the phone belongs to your friend , and show their original bill … If you have the original bill of the phone , there will not be a nay trouble … Go ahead with it , and jailbreak free
just downgrade your iphone 4 insted of clussing up with all of that
didn’t think you could do that…something to do with an shsh blob. Thought my phone wasn’t cabable since it was shipped with 4.0.2.
i am wondering if i jailbreak my iphone 4 will the warranty void?
because someone said that if i jailbreak it ill void the warranty so i was wondering deos anyone knows if it those ?
yes it will most definatly void your warranty… BUT i suggest makeing a total backup of your stock system if possible in case u brick the phone in the jailbreaking process…. but apple will not work one a colored (jailbroken) phone AT ALL
at&t may also void your contract and cancel you.. BUT only if they see it themselves..other tahn that they cant tell
GOOD LUCK!
