Hey guys I hope someone can help me. I know I’m a little bit behind the times but I have iphone 4 with firmware 4.1 and baseband 02.10.04 . I have never jailbroken my phone and use gevey sim. I would now like to update firmware to iOS 5.0 but I don’t want my baseband to change. Any idea what I should do ? It’s really important that I don’t mess this up because I need this phone and as an iPod it won’t help me much .
I appreciate any advice you can give me in simple layman’s terms. Thank you
Answer :
You have to create a custom iOS 5.0.1 firmware file and restore your phone to that firmware using iTunes . Use Sn0wbreeze 5.0.1 jailbreak tool for this .

Hi, I am using iPhone 4 from last one year unlocked with gevey sim, it was working fine until i didn’t updates my phone to ios 5.0.1 with preserve base band 04.10.01.
After upgrading the phone gevey SIM is not working, all m getting is “No Service“. I have tried many a times switched on switched off but no luck . I know this can be fixed by going to Settings > Phone > SIM Application and change the language to English, but that’s where ma concern comes because under SIM application m not getting any such option, all m getting is these 3 option. Just wondering how to get “Gevey Technology” option under Sim application and change the language.
