I am a family friend of a developmentally disabled young adult who has been the victim of repeated s*xual expl*itation by a sick married couple. He is also a registered s*x offender. Yesterday she deleted a months worth of text messages between the two of them containing s*xual images and very l*wd and obscene messages. I know they are there because I saw them all before they were erased.
However, before I could download them to my PC using Decipher Software she deleted them from the phone. Now they won’t even show up in the itunes backup files. I have no idea where they went or how she did it. She is not tech savvy and what only alone for about an hour with no computer. The rest of her texts to various other people over the last month are still there, so she didn’t just wipe them all out.
I know there are people who can jailbreak this phone and mount/view the data that’s there since she bought it. It’s 16 GB and she only has one song, 16 pics, and 9 apps installed. Plenty of room to have not been overwritten yet. Police can’t help (yet) because there is not enough evidence for them to act. Her parents are completely broken and are rightly scared for their daughter. If I could provide these pictures and messages, Social & Rehabilitation Services (SRS) has already said they could intervene.
Can somebody please help us .
