Hi folks , I recently tried to tether jailbreak using the latest redsn0w tool. This is my first time jailbreaking a device and it was sadly a failure nearly on a catastrophic level. The program crashed to desktop while it was flashing in DFU mode.
To be honest i think i went wrong when downgrading from v5.0.1 to v5 as there are 2 ipsw files to choose from GSM version and CDMA version. i opted for GSM distribution as it sounded familiar. I live in the UK and bought my iPhone 4 from Three .
Was i right in choosing the GSM distribution to jailbreak my device i want to try again but last time i was certain it was a brick as i could not put the device in recovery mode i had to use another machine to restore my device .
Answer :
Try other jailbreak tools like Acidsn0w and Snowbreeze to jailbreak your iPhone 4 .
