I recently upgraded my iPhone 3GS to 5.1.1 and started to get issues, the phone says ‘No Service‘ and then says that a restore is needed because it can not make incoming or outgoing calls. I then cycled the power to get a message saying ‘authentication required‘. I managed to downgrade my software to just 5.1 but i’m still getting the problem, intermittently. It is starting to get a bit annoying . Does anyone know of this problem and a possible solution ? . I need to the phone to last me till August so I can upgrade !
