Subject: No Service after Jailbreak and Unlocking
Iphone Version : 3G

I am new to this jailbreak /unlocking stuff so I researched for a few months before I moved forward. iPhone 3, 4.2.1 — was running baseband of 5.15.04. Jailbroke with RedSn0w 0.9.6rc8, and installed iPad baseband 06.15.00. Installed cydia.
I had a lot of trouble getting it into DFU mode, but finally it worked.
Through Cydia, I ran ultrasn0w to unlock it.
Everything seemed to go smoothly, but I am still unclear on exactly what to do with the SIM card? Currently, I have the original one that came with my iphone via at&t. When I try to make a call, i get the message from AT&T, ” this acc is temp. suspended”?
What I am wanting to do is get a pre-paid sim card from net10, or either go with the AT&T’s go phone.
When one is “unlocking” their cell phone, doesn’t that mean that they are unlocking the connection to the current server? Sorry if the questions sound dumb, I feel somewhat confused ?
Answer :
After you unlock your phone with Ultrasnow , you can use any sine card as the phone is now unlocked. If you are getting “No Service” then it means the unlock is not successful. Try the unlosk steps as shown here exactly . See which one works for you . All Jailbreak Tutorials here
