I successfully unlocked my 4G to use in Guam on a network that currently has the 3GS. I can make calls and receive texts..etc.. only problem is that the data isn’t working. it keeps telling me that data roaming is turned off and I need to enable it. is there another patch I need to get the data working ?

With your phone switched on, remove your SIM card for about 5 seconds and then reinsert it. That should activate the default APN settings, which will allow for data access.

if that doesnt work, restore your phone ;P
if you got such message, it’s all about APN setting. you might want to find out the exact APN addresses, ID and PW for your service provider, and set them properly. there are many websites explaining how to set APN.
