I am very new to jailbreaking , got my first iphone a couple of days ago . I want to Jailbreak Iphone 4 4.2 iOS and from what I can understand from this article you wrote [ http://www.iphone4jailbreak.org/unlock-ios-4-2-1-ultrasn0w.html ] Redsn0w just released a jailbreak tool that will let you Jailbreak Iphone 4.2 and unlock your phone , though there are many warnings for unlocking you iphone this way.
From what I can understand I do only want to Jailbreak Iphone 4 and not unlock it [ jailbreaking will let me connect to Cydia and download pretty much any app I want free, right ]. I understood the article correctly . I do only need to change the baseband and that stuff I want to unlock my iphone.
So if I only follow point number one : Jailbreak your iphone with redsn0w jailbreak tool . Will I then be safe ? Will I be able to restore my iphone to factory defaults if something would go wrong, would I void my warranty ? Is there any risks ? from what I could understand from some other articles there’s pretty much no risk when jailbreaking. Sorry for the long post .
