itunes not recognizing iphone 4 after 4.3.3 jailbreak

After jailbreaking with redsn0w, my iphone 4 running 4.3.5 does not show up in itunes. I tried reinstalling itunes, using all of the usb ports on my laptop (windows 7), and stopping and then restarting apple mobile device drivers in windows’ services.

Restarting apple mobile devices causes the iphone to show up in itunes but with the error message “cannot sync, disk can not be located“, at which point itunes freezes.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and might know of a solution .
