I jailbroke my iPhone 4 using JailbreakMe and now my itunes will not recognize it. I can’t restore it of course cause it won’t connect. Already tried un-installing and reinstalling itunes but in vain. Could there be something wrong on the iphone ? please help.

You will see a message in iTunes that a device has been found in recovery mode.
i got my iphone 4 in recovery mode but when i plug it into the computer i still get the same message, that my usb device has malfunctioned and windows cannot recognize this device… please help!!
You will need to install the driver for apple DFU mode. The easiest way is to get your friends iphone and put it in recovery mode. Windows will then automatically get the driver. If thats not an option just google DFU mode. God Speed
The best method to fix this problem is to unplug and replug your device, I did it 4 times and the 4th time it worked.

After jailbreaking,I cannot not sync with iTunes without having the warning that some of my apps or data will be removed. Is this normal or is there a way around this?
I am getting a message saying you must restore Iphone before bing able to use itunes. My phone is not recognized in itunes and all software, capacity and serial number come up as n/a. Please need help

i jailbroke and unlocked my phone. but it started to do all kinds of crazy stuff afterwards, such as not recognize my id, passwords, or payment verification. so i decided to restore it as i was told by going to settings and clicking on “restore settings and erase all contents”. now my phone is in a suspended state of blackness with the white apple logo on it. i can shut it off or on by pressing down the home and on/off key for like ten secs, but thats it. i think the phone is still jailbroke bc he top still has the tiny diff color lights on the top. but can anyone help? please!
hey rob – i had the same problem this morning. just re jailbreak the phone using redsn0w. it wont get it the sync working but you should find all content’s still on the phone.
if anyone can fix the non syncing issue – i;m all ears!!
Used redsnow tehtered jailbreak, works fine except that ITUNES WON’T RECOGNIZE MY PHONE and therefor I cannot sync music, just rated 500 songs and don’t want to lose that work! I was able to do it once by re jail breaking it but then I lost all my songs… Why won’t itunes show my phone when I connect USB? Help please been searching this for hours…
I had this problem! honestly just uninstall itunes completely if your using a mac use app delete! and go to apple.com and install the latest version of itunes. It worked for me.
i had my friend jailbreak my iphone 4….i downloaded music from itunes nd then later when it died it now stuck on a black screen with the apple logo on it…i tryed doin the itunes but it wont read the usb @ all nd the pic wont come one it justs shuts off nd on please helpppppppppp……..
hello, i bought my ipohne 4 second hand on ebay, it came with a gevey sim its also jailbroken. i downloaded new itunes 10.4 and synced it on my phone, now i cant do anything says connect to itunes on screen and the only thing i can do is an emergency call. should i just download the unlocking software? please help.
i have a jailbroken iphone 4 which itunes displays as iphone with no storage capacity no firmware and no serial number it wont let me rejailbreak what could possibly be the problem with it? any ideas would be appreciated i’m using a mac and have tried a lot of solutions and nothing works i’ve definitely been in dfu and pwned dfu mode but still the same thing no matter what and it started doing this after i installed a package from cydia called hideemall using 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak

also i have another problem with some apps like “Skipe” , “ooVoo” and “Tiny zoo” ; they are installing correctly on my device, but they will not open, i mean as i touch them they will open for a quarter of second! and then they will close!!!
