My dad says I can jailbreak my iPhone 4 but the conditions are : I will lose internet access and if I break it I pay for a new one. Should i jailbreak my iPhone iPoa and iPad ? Is it really worth jailbreaking ?
Answer :
It depends on what are your priorities. If you want to do more and stand out different from other iPod users , you must definitely jailbreak. Jailbreak can be removed anytime by doing a complete restore and sync via iTunes . You don’t lose any of your previous data or your ipod performance is hampered in any way. Same goes for iPhone and iPad users .

Some Jailbreak Applications :
- Themes
- Free App Store Apps
- More applications
To know the awesome jailbreak apps . tweak , check out this page . You must google a bit more to know other awesome apps available in Cydia (the jailbreak app store). Furthermore , you can get installous and download and install paid apps for free from App Store. Though we do not recommend piracy of apps , you can test or use Installous if your monthly allowance don’t allow app store purchases .

Frankly I didn’t think it was worth it. The Cydia apps are kind of dopey and they’re all – for the most part – expensive (which is something I just don’t get) I WAS able to open up the hot spot which was handy but frankly I didn’t use it much.
The MAIN reason I did it was to use Facetime through 3G. But…unless I have 5 bars it doesn’t work. It’s just too much bandwidth for the image.
I thought the best part of jailbreaking was just “doing it.” But it got boring and timely jumping back and forth from operating systems.
Seems like your 3G suxx,,
you obv don’t have techy aspirations , or you would realize that anything you can imagine can be brought to fruition by jb’ing
Having an iPhone / ipad not Jailbreak is like going to a prostitute and asks for a hug!!!!
Lol
Hahaaha nicely said!
I think it is totally worth it! there are some amazing addons out there! like dreamboard, it emulates a droid OS and has live widgets for facebook rss and wether. or bitesms. a free sms package that is just like the iphone native sms app and has quick reply. or sbsettings, it lets you turn off 3g, wifi, adjust brightness and more, just by sliding ur finger accross the status bar. It is totally worth it to me. i dont know why u sed you would lose internet access? but anyways its great!
what jailbreak did you use?
please tell me
I think it worth.
its Definitely worth it. Not just for Tweaks and enhancements, but for themes. If you have a jailbroken Idevice, It goes from Idevice to MYDevice.
you can express yourself as you wish when it comes to Theming.
Becuz the dev team brought out the full potential of the iPhone the sbs settings are the only feature I need to easily access control from any screen with out having to open the settings app. Android os make it easy for their users idk why apple just doesn’t work with dev team to improve one of the most powerful phones on the. Market to make it even better
Yes it is. Installous & other JB tweaks.
I wanted to see the capabilities of the phone, but I really haven’t done much. Do really idk lol
Explore the real iphone capability . iPhone is just a brick without jailbreak
MyWi is the only reason i jb my iphone.
cuz it’s a jail, and I have to break
You will not lose any features or connectivity , actually thru tweaks like tcp, and my3g, you will speed up your phones browsing and online video performance,, not
To mention the possibility to change almost if not every sound the device makes,, change the Colour, reaction, and size of every visual on the phone,, overclock it legit,, (if you have boot access ) many logical improvements on the phones alerting options, txt tones, and ringtones, can be shuffled, tailored to specific individuals , video backgrounds, lockscreens , folders
In folders, hidden icons, password protections, torrent downloading and
Unpacking, remote connection, desktop display interface, security enhancements,,,, the list seriously goes on,,. My jb I 4 runs at 1.15 ghz and my Gpu is spedd up to increase animations, my phone
Is almost
Comparable to the new galaxy 2, (next gen compared to the iphone4)
I was so excited
When I got my 4 over a year ago, it was int mind, the first real phone I ever
Had, when I jail broke it 2
Months later,, that’s when I got my second
One,,, I could never
Go back to a stock iPhone,, just as well I dig my Lg rumor out of the closet and hook that up!!
i have my iPhone jail broken too, but don’t recall a tweak called TCP nor can i think of anything with those acronyms. Which are you talking about bro?
he means tcp optimizer .
idevice are the best device ever made i have an iphone an ipad and a ipod touch all are jailbreaked cz jailbreaking make them even more usefull and more user friendly i suggest to every one to jailbreak there idevice
Just got my first iphone ever, a 4. I am a tech guy with certain knowledge but an iphone is rather expensive to break it. The main reason for jailbreaking is to instal pdanet or alike app for 3g internet sharing.
Say I try this out, and as I have 4.3.5 it has to be a tethered jailbreak with redsn0w. I understand I have to boot it always with the cable. Now, is it easy/safe to go back to factory defaults if I get tired?
This is a simple and informative Q&A to show some people who wonder about it.
“You don’t lose any of your previous data or your ipod performance is hampered in any way.”
You forgot “not” before “hampered”; grammar ignored.
Depends on what you really want to do with it. When i jail-broke my phone i wanted the hotspot feature without having to pay AT&T for allowing me to use something my phone already has. There are many cool things you can do with it. What they do not tell you is that its not that easy figuring them out. Cydia has many cool apps but tons of them get really technical and are hard to understand what they even do.
Last!! Make sure you figure out a good backup system to restore your phone if anything is to happen. My phone crashed and had a very long process of getting it back up because the restore process is not just a click of the button. I had to eventually take it to the apple store and pray they wouldn’t ask me if it was jail-broken.
Other then that, there is not reason not to check it out. If you don’t like it restore it back and be on your way.
