Subject: iPod Touch 2G Stuck In Custom Boot Logo Cycle

I jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G with greenp0ison and everything was running smoothly. I had custom boot logo installed and then decided I wanted to change everything so I manually reset all data and settings directly on the iPod. Now it is stuck where every time I boot it up, the apple logo appears and changes into my custom logo. The custom logo stays on the screen for a few minutes before the spinning wheel appears and the iPod reboots into the same process. When I plug my iPod into the computer, neither iTunes nor “My Computer” recognizes it.
I have looked around quite a bit for answers to this problem. Many people have said to put it into DFU mode, but when I have attempted that the “Found New Hardware Wizard” pops up. There is also a little pop-up from the task bar that says it has found new hardware.
I am very desperate for a solution because so far nothing else has worked.
P.S. The computer I am using is running Windows XP.
