iphone_apple_logo_recovery_mode

I’ve jailbroken my iphone 4 on 4.0 firmware with jailbreakme.com . Everything worked ok cydia appeared but failed to update database and install upgrades. Rebooted iphone and it’s stuck now in Apple logo. I can put it into DFU mode or recovery mode but cant start it anymore. Any suggestions please as I don’t want to restore as I have contacts and pictures in there.
