I’ve been using my iphone 4 for almost a year now and for the past month or so it keeps restarting on its own. And sometimes when I try to open an app it just closes by itself, the app I mean. What could be wrong ?
My iOS is quite old, 4.1 or something ? Could this be the problem ? If so, how do I upgrade the firmware ? Do I just backup all my apps and cydia apps, then use itunes to upgrade, then restore ?

Answer :
You can use iTunes to Upgrade iPhone 4 to latest iOS 5 . Make sure you read How to Upgrade Jailbroken iPhone 4 .
