I have Factory Unlocked Iphone 4 – Do i need a Original SIM to activate after Jailbreak

I want to ask a question about the “official SIM issue on iPhone 4″  with reference to this post “Issues after Jailbreak” , point number 3 states that : “You will require an original support SIM card to activate with iTunes”  . What does this mean ? . My country(Singapore) sells factory unlocked iPhones( I think as the people are using it on M1, SingTel, Starhub). Does this mean that after I jailbreak I must reactivate it with an AT&T SIM card?

Or does this only apply to when activating the iPhone 4 after you have taken it out of the box? If so, will my local network provider’s SIM card work with it ?
