Q. | How to Restore to Factory Settings after Jailbreaking |

I was looking around your iphone 4 jailbreak blog and I was wondering if either Limera1n or greenpoison jailbreaks for iphone4 4.1 can be removed and the phone be reset to factory settings? Just in case I have to take it in to the Mac store for some reason I want to make sure I can still remove the jailbreak and restore to factory settings.

If you use Tinyumbrella to save shsh, then you won’t be able straight to restore to factory setting using itunes. Tinyumbrella modify your “hosts” file in “C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc” (I’m using Windows XP). Before restore in itunes, backup the hosts file first.
Modify the hosts file :
- ignore all the lines start with #
- keep the line “127.0.0.1 localhost” and delete the rest of the lines(generated by tinyunbrella)
-save the hosts file.
Now restore your phone in itunes and BANG…its done .
