I have a Iphone 4.2.1. Bought i USA, used in Denmark. the phone i jailbroken with Ultrasnow. Tried to unlock the phone with Gevey Sim card – followed the instruction carefully, and it worked, but only for 5 seconds – after that “Invalid Sim” – Any ideas ?
Please guide me , how I can use Gevey Sim without any problems . Thanks , AGF

Gevey Sim failure : Hi Guys , after booting the iPhone 4 with Gevey and Micro SIM installed, all i get is a “Sim Failure” error. No Gevey Welcome Screen which i could accept. Basically i am stuck at step 1. Any Ideas ?

1. Take sim out
2. Let phone boot up and slide to open
3. No sim card message, push in sim
4. Wait for screen to agree and agree
5. Wait 15 seconds, dial 112 and hang up in 2 seconds
6. Turn on airplane mode and wait 40 seconds for a message
7. Turn off airplane mode, another message.
8. Dont touch anything or go to any other screens and wait 5 minutes, otherwise you lose it!
9. Eventually, your bars will start growing and your carrier name will come up (mine is T-Mobile, only 2g speed, crap cant watch streaming videos, or use skype or any phone program)
10. Best i get is pandora radio and videos have to be downloaded.
11. Do not use epc.tmobile.com as suggested by tmobile or you get no service. Do a search for how to update system with ifile and use wap.voicestream.com for both apn with other fields all blank
12. Done! Let me know if it works for you

I had unlock my phne with gevey sim but when i switched off my iphone i was unable to find carrier. So what shud i do now??? Plzzz sugest me something plzzzz help me out in dis problem…..
I use Gevey SIM to unlock my phone. My friend told me this trick. Let see if it helps you.
After accept its guides, dial 112, rapidly turn on and off Airplane mode TWO TIMES. Turn it on again, wait 5s, then turn it off, you should get the signals.
Second trick: be patient
Just follow the instruction. When it says no sim card, invalid sim or sim failure keep turning airplane mode on and off until those messages don’t appear anymore
did this..worked amazing after almost a month of no phone…best way to get accept screen is to turn on phone first wait for no sim and then put in card.
I purchase Gevey Turbo Sim & Unlock my Iphone 4 Baseband 2.10 but finding problem on lost of Network I need to do the step every time same as step required to unlock i.e. from Shuting down onward

put the sim in any other mobile, go to setting , phone security, remove pin,the exit setting , switch mobile of, take the sim to your iphone then start gevey steps.
It took me 12 hours to figure out and t-mobile support suks!

No problem! Hope this way works for you guys! I cant guarantee it would do it twice, because since i got my phone going after 12 hours of bs, i havent turned my phone off once. One other thing, if you install a cydia app and it has to respring, its ok, your tmobile is still there, just dont restart, i havent restarted not once!!! 12 hours to get my phone going??? Never again! Especially at 2g speed on tmobile! They did throw in free unlimited texts when i complained, all for 50 bucks a month, no phone service, i use textfree with voice for iphone. Sounds better than skype and yahoo messenger phone! Juat a few tips! Happy iphoning! Let me know that you got your iphone to work! It will make my day if i actually helped somebody
I’ve tried this over 30 times…no matter who’s instructions i follow i get a few bars then no sim installed. i managed to see tmobile once and make one call then it was over. This is ridicul0usly frustrating.
Jeff, you’re the man, I’ve been trying non stop for three freaking days, i looked at my phone log, i had dialed 112 over 400 times, tried your way and it worked the first time. Not sure how you figured it out, but holy cr@p, you even in atlanta, i owe you a drink
No luck tried ur method with a timer step by step and this dosen’t work it worked for a few days after I got it and after I was at the hospital and lost signal the cr@p fails I’m frustrated please help!!!

I have used epc.tmobile.com (and all the other settings too) and had no problems with the Gevey sim…hmmm. You may want to try it again.

You can’t remove Gevey Sim. It has to stay in th phone all the time.

Jeff, maybe you can help me; I’ve tried not 400 but 1000 times all type of Gevey procedures that appear in the web to solve the NO SERVICE problem, however it didn’t work; actually I was thinking it was the Gevey Sim but today I tried in another phone and it runned immediately. It seems my problem is when the NO SIM message disappear the device gets on signal barr and it immediately go to carrier “searching” and then NO SERVICE, yesterday I managed to get three times signal very weak but at least it worked. Any clue how to help?????? Tks,

Everything goes well but after the search it says No Service hmm what should I do?
Take the back off the iphone4 check the screew with the white water mark sicker also check the screw in the bottem left under the dock cable these are the 2 ant point on mother board. i checked myne and the screew was gone. then my gavey worked

To force the accept screen to come up, go to settings on iphone 4, go down to phone, scroll down to very bottom below sim pin, there is an extra menu item, disappears when sim is working, click on it, then click on English. Click home button (big button in center bottom of phone), and gevey accept screen will come up. Click accept, wait 15 seconds for one bar, dial 112, hang up quick and follow my instructions above. If it doesnt work, you should reboot your phone and follow what i wrote above

Try this
1- Make sure that 3G is off .. and reset network
2- while iphone is on … take the sim tray out alitle bit.
3- Take airplane mode on … put the tray all the way in.
4- Take airplane mode off … Then wait .. 3-10 seconds .
5- Welcome screen must appear not the press accept.
6- then call 112 .. 2 second .. hangup .
7- go setting Take airplane mode on — wait for SIM error message.
8- Take airplane mode off .. wait .. wait .. you sholud be with bars now.

Hey I’m freaking out I Forgot to hang up after calling 112 and the police picked up them my phone hung up befor I could do anything will anything bad happen???!!!

I can’t finish the procedure, i get the “no sim installed” message just after the step N°4 (112 call)
just after i hang up, the message appears and the airplanes mode steps don’t work. Sometimes, i get the bar when i turn off the airplane mode, but the recherch allways fails !

Ok, so you dial 112, hang up immediately, go into settings, turn on airplane mode and leave it on for sometimes longer than a minute before a message comes up? Then a message comes up like invalid sim or something, you click ok, turn airplane mode off, another message appears right away when you turn it off. Then i just sit and wait and once the bars come all the way up, still dont touch it, wait for the carrier name to come up to, mine was tmobile, still working right now

EACH time, just 2 seconds after i hang up, the “No sim installed” message appears. And when i turn on and off the airplane mode, there is no more message about the sim. Only cherching whith one bar… and fifnally no carriers founded “reseau indisponible” in french !
if you get “no sim installed” message as soon as you hang up on 112 then your sim card is not sitting right in the phone, make sure to shave it down right and that all the metal parts are touching the gevey sim points.

Perhaps i dammaged the bottom of the gevey the first time i tried to inserted it. I had to push very strong a lot of times… I cut my 10 years old sim card, which is thicker than the new ones.
I will try again with a real microsim… and a new gevey !!!
(But i get the connexion bar anywhere with mine… and it works perfect with a microsim adaptor in my samsung).
Do you thing the problem can result because of redsnow or green poison ? I jailbreaked with the 2 of them ?

try new sim instead of your 10 years old sim card. it should work.

I posted two weeks ago an alternative instructions that worked for me and will work for countries not accepting 112 dial, but for some reason it was not posted or was deleted by the adminisrtrators.
Alternative instructions:
as fast as possiblle, once you dial 112 or 911, gomto settings and turn on airplane mode, do not wait the 2 seconds nor hang up, dial and move fast to settings airplane mode, then you will see a menu comming from the buttom, accept the go to airplane mode and then continue with normal instructions. Hope at help.

Hi, I got my iphone 4 unlocked with Gevey @ the store and updated my contacts on my Mac afterwards. It’s seam like the phone is locked again and have tried several times to unlock it using the instructions. The message that appears is “the carrier has changed. Select carrier under settings or cancel” That message comesup before welcome message and after the airplane mode step.
My phone was working fine but it shut off now it said invalid sim and the welcome sign font pop I try every step and nothing it just got straight to invalid sim what can I do how can I fix it

Disable Data and 3G in Settings > General > Data before attempting the process. Otherwise you’ll be forever stuck between the steps of dialing 112 and toggling airplane mode.

Help! I have a locked jaibroken iphone 4 that could not work with Gevey SIM. So I followed this link here to install SAM hoping it’s the solution. But when connecting to iTunes, iTunes said no card?
So tried to uninstall and the phone crashes!!! The phone screen now only allows SOS call and keeps showing pix to connect to iTunes, but when connected it still says no card. Tried using other valid SIM cards and iTunes say do not recognize the cards!!! I can’t even restore the phone or use iTunes now
Now putting back my SIM with Gevey, my iphone pops up screen “No SIM installed, insert valid SIM w/ no PIN lock to activate iphone” What should I do now? At least in the past I could still use it as a itouch. Anyone help me???
I had the same issue, first you’re gonna have to put your iPhone in dfu mode (hold power button for 3 secs, then hold both power Button & home button for about 10 sec, the let go of the power & hold home down for 15 sec then u should see a black screen….dfu mode, then you’re gonna have to to re-jailbreak it (check YouTube, they will walk u through it) , once you’ve done all that, you still should see connect to iTunes, you have to find a custom iOS like a custom 4.3.3 iOS for an example (youtube will help )connect your Phone to iTunes, put in dfu mode again, shift & click on restore iPhone in iTunes, find the custom iOS file, then it will restore your phone, it’s a long process but it’ll work, it happened to me…. SAM is not recommended

i brought iphon4 from thailand.. After insertins sim it is giving invaid sim(SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED). but it is accepting cellone network in INdia..
I bought my iPhone in Canada with fido, and I’m now using it in hong kong. I have downloaded furious mod and followed all the instructions to use a sim card here in hong kong with the carrier “3″, but everytime after I put the sim card in and turn on the phone, it says “connect to iTunes” and “different sim detected”, and can only let me make emergency calls, which doesn’t let me unlock my phone to go to the home page. It worst part is that, it shows that there’s service and 3G. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Is you phone jail broken?? If so u have to restore to factory mode and re jail break! This happened to me! Everything was good after I did that!
Seems you forgot something, once you restore to factory mode, you must put the original sim in to activate it whith iTunes, after this can go with jailbreak.
Put Gevey Sim when then iphone needs to reboot (after jailbreak)

Nobody’s asking for you to repeat the Gevey instructions- they’re right there on the phone. We don’t need you to post the instructions and we don’t need you kiddies to post “omg, that worked, thanks!!1″ because it has nothing to do with the question about “INVALID SIM”.
1. People are following the instructions exactly.
2. The sim is successfully unlocked.
3. 10-30 seconds later, it reverts back to “INVALID SIM”

I have a iphone 4 version 4.3.2 baseband 4.10.01 i’ve 1st brought the gevey turbo sim from overstock.com it work on & off so i purchased the ultra it worked cut off & never worked ever again i put back in the turbo sim n that worked so i gave the ultra sim one last try & it still didnt work i tried running back to turbo and it just keep saying sim failure EVEN WITHOUT ANY SIM BEING INSERTED idk wat to can some1 please help?????

i was running just fine an iphone 4g with 4.2.1/03.10.01 until last week. I got my Iphone 4 unlocked in USA with Gevey sim and cydia installed on it. Now, recently i upgraded my iphone to IOS5 from itunes and hence lost my baseband. Can someone help me on how to get my phone to work again.
The message is not coming up when I turn airplane mode on. The message pops up when I turn it back on, but even if I leave it for 10 minutes after that it still says “Invalid SIM” in the service bar area. Please someone help me to figure this out. It is driving me absolutely crazy.
Sorry. For further info, I am in Korea trying to hook up the phone on SK Telecom. They gave me the SIM and they said it should work as long as it is unlocked. I am on IOS 4.3.3 and I have tried it while jailbroken and not jailbroken. Please, please help me out!

I had a previous locked phone to KT Show and Gevey Sim will not work whether jailbrpken or not.
That is tough news. What happened when you tried to unlock it? Was it a neverending “Invalid Sim” error?
Yep, exactly as you described. Mine didn’t even have the accept screen pop up even though I am pretty sure my gevey was authentic. I had since sold it away for a good price and bought a unlocked 4s since.
Aw man that is a sad story. I originally signed up for a contract and got a Samsung Galaxy S2 but I lost it in a cab. I had an iPhone 4 from back home that I figured I could try to get to work, but now it is seeming less and less likely. I think my Gevey is a fake, do you think I should even bother to try and get a real one?
Well in the 1 year process waiting for an unlock solution, I have become quite adept knowing all the jailbreak technical jargons from this website. There is still no unlock solution despite the initial hopes and promises.
You have to decide, especially if this is the only phone you have got. I had a really good Nokia N95 then so was contented (well, kind of) using the locked iphone 4 as a device watching movies. The important thing I reckon is to sell it when it can still fetch a price as a locked device.
I do like the Samsung Galaxy S2, looks similar to the leaked ‘potential’ iphone 5. might try that next.
I followed the usual directions with no luck. Without turning the phone off, I also tried what the comments said and turned airplane mode on and off like 3-4 times and then it finally came up (my provider). So be persistent.
I just on the phone and removed the sim and put it it
Turn on and off air plan mode few times and get the gevey sim welcome mode. Then dial 112 and complete the step on the manual. Done!
