Experiencing lag in a few games after the untethered for 5.0.1. The worst is infinity blade. No problems when I was on 4.3.3 . Any thoughts on how to fix ? I’ve already done 2 full restores still the game lag problem is not solved on my iOS 5.0.1 iPhone 4 .

It appears as if the latest redsn0w update (b4) has fixed the lag issue. After a full restore there is the occasional hang during gameplay, but overall there seems to be a big imorovement.

Is the the update with version b4 really solving the game lag problems ???
It has helped a bit, but there still is lag. I don’t know what the solution to this is. It doens’t seem to matter what method you chose to jailbreak either (redn0w or sn0wbreeze ect.)

I jailbreaked yesterday my Iphone4 with Redsnow 0.9.10b4 and the game lag are no longer present. I tested GT Free(where I had this problem), Infinity Blade and Shadowgun, no game lags anymore. So it seems that version b4 resolves the problem. I will test it a little more longer and inform you.
I’ve just jailbroken my iphone 3gs with Untethered ios 5.0.1 using Redsnow0.9.10b4, Like what you all said that there’s a bit of improvement BUT the games lags are still there. Hey Ray!you probably figured out by now that even if you use Redsnow0.9.10b4 it still lags. Hopefull someone will eventually find a SOLUTION for this. This is the only FORUM on the net that discusses this problem.
I tested a lot of games like GT Free, Infinity Blade, NFS Shift 2, NFS Hot Pursuit, Moto Racer, Modern Combat 3, Castle of magic, Pinball HD, Low Grav2. All games run like a sharm. Don’t understand why you have this problem with Redsnow 0.9.10b4. Everythings works just fine on my Iphone 4
Hey. I can see that it helped the LAG issues BUT If you really look at it closely, like my NBA2K12 on the 4.3.3 redsnow0.9.6rc16 jailbreak it runs SMOOTHLY compared to the 5.o.1 redsnow 0.9.10b4. Look closely at the details of the game. You can really see the difference. I’m hoping that a redsnow 0.9.10b5 comes out.
yea 4.3.3 there is no issues at all. I was debating wheather or not to go back to 4.3.3 but with the latest redsn0w it is tolerable.
TNX for backing me up wrx7182! redsnow for 4.3.3 is the the best jailbreaking tool rather than snowbreeze. But going back to your question. Yes, you can go back from 5.0.1 to 4.3.3 if you have your SHSH saved and even without it you still can. It’s hard to explain through here. Just search it on youtube bro.

Yeah, you may be right, I had ”light lags” today while playing NFS Hot Pursuit. I am thinking about to restore to normal……maybe
See i told you. hehe. Let’s just hope that they release redsnow 0.9.10b5. I probably jailbroke and restored my iphone over 10 times to find a solution using other jailbreaking tools BUT there isn’t any.
I installed Real Racing 2 to test and it’s full of lags……sh*t…..at this time my iphone is restoring….hope that they make it better with version b5. If a version b5 come out I will test it and report on this site about the game lags. A thing that I also see is the the phone is much slower after the jailbreak and the battery is out in short time…..

Hey, I jailbreaked my phone for the 4th time with version b4…….because I bought on Amazon a TVout cable in order to watch my Dreambox on another TV using the iphone. To do this I had to install the program ”Display out” on Cydia and it workes very fine. The games have loss lags than earlier. I installed only Cydia, Installous, Winterboard and Star Trek Lcars theme. Last time I installed also ”Slanted Lock”. Now I find that there are less game lags….
Did the LAG really disappear when you installed display out? or just a big? because I want it totally gone when i restored back to 5.0.1.

After a complete restore and re-jailbreak using redsn0w b5, game lag is still there. Doesn’t appear to be any change at all, if anything it’s worse.
Actually b5 is definantly worse. Back to b4!

There is game lag no matter how you jailbreak your iDevice on iOS 5.
If you go back to b4 you will notice a difference.
It’s not 100%, but it is tollerable.
Hi I rejailbrock me iphone with version b4 because I bought a Tv Out Cable in order to watch my Dreambox Channels on every Tv at home. This only works when it’s jailbrocken and of usage of the programm on cydia called display out. Ok the gamelags are still there but renduced to a minimum. As I saw not all games have lags, actually I play Dead Space and there are no lags. It’s acceptable to me. Bey
