I have an unlocked, jailbroken iPhone 3G , 4.2.1/ 6.15.00. I tried to reset the settings from my phone without itunes and since the phone has been stuck on the apple logo & then dies. It would not and still wont get past that. I was told it was “bricked” but could be restored via itunes. So, I tried restoring it in recovery mode on itunes (the latest version)and it seems to go most of the way through the process and then it says “the iphone cannot be restored-unknown error (1015)” Is there any fix for this? I am supposed to be using this phone as a trade or partial payment toward an upgrade .
