Subject: Corner of the iPhone Screen gone Black
Iphone Version : 4
Question Posted by : Branimir

The upper left part of my iPhone 4 screen suddenly became black. It’s a small section, does not impair my ability to work, but it’s still annoying. If I take a screenshot of the screen, the blackness is not displayed – ergo, I think it’s hardware related. It’s quite small and only covers the first bar of the signal section. However, if I turn on Kindle for example, and read on heavy white background, the spot starts disappearing. After I leave the phone for a while, it comes back.
Please help .

have you tried to reset your iphone?
also try to start iphone at safe mode, if it disappears in safe mode and appears in the normal mode, then it must be a cydia app that made this,
Yep, I did 2 resets, and then 3 full restores. The restores actually helped – only for a while – but in the end, I think all they did was heat up the phone a bit, and it seems the thing is about temperature. As it gets higher, the smudge/spot/whatever disappears.
