Q. | AT&T Locked a Factory Unlocked iPhone 4 after 5.1.1 Upgrade |

Hi Guys,
My name is Ali Salman – from Jordan, I have a 4G which was unlocked officially by AT&T since April 22nd 2012 . I called AT&T the second day they start their campaign unlocking iphone all over the world, it was eligible & 10 days later it was unlocked. Last week upon releasing untethered jailbreak, I updated to 5.1.1 & jailbreaked and it went fine. Yesterday I noticed that I can’t open cydia, installous or safari . Today, I arranged to upgrade and so made a restore to wipe my data & guess what ? the phone is locked again to AT&T.
I called AT&T wondering about that, they told that it can’t be the case, they don’t unlock & then relocked again. After checking & checking they transferred me to Apple who checked & checked back connect me in a conference call with AT&T & both agreed that this is the first case ever. AT&T employee checked & then she told that the phone is eligible but my request was denied from the beginning (which is not true) as I did not give purchase details or don’t have social security number or existing AT&T account (we all know that this is not the case, after 15 days they start to ask for such details) & they have no idea how the phone was unlocked, neither apple employee.
They were very sorry not being able to help unless I provide purchase details or social security no. etc. My phone was unlocked for one & half months and AT&T saying that they did not do it, same as apple who said cant unlock without AT&T confirmation. At the end the phone is locked , thanks to AT&T . Hope you’ll spread for the whole benefit.
