Hi, I got my iphone4 upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 with preserved baseband 3.10.01 after I restored firmware from iTunes and turn on my iPhone, It asks me to activate it but first of all I have no original carrier sim card, is there anyway to activate my iPhone with gevey sim ? ‘coz when i turn on the phone there is no pop-up screen to press 112 and then bla bla bla. I can’t even get on to home screen. Please help i’m now stuck for 5 hours already .

P.S. It shows “no device” on the signal bar .

    here i got problem of baseband lock for 4.11.08,

    when i can get the gevey sim or unlock for it

    Use snowbreeze to jailbreak. And jailbreaking select activate iPhone so that the phone wld be activated. With this I believe u can use ur Gevey Sim

    Hi there guys is there a mac equivalent for snowbreeze? Cos I used pwnage tool to create the custom firmware and I still can’t get pass the activate using wifi screen it says no sim card inserted

    i accidently updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.0.1 now i cant activate the phone with my gevey sim . i haved saved my previous blobs ,,, what can i do … help me

    You can jailbreak with redsnow to get pass the activation process. After jailbreak, you can setup as new phone.

    hi i just tried that and after all the processes it says “there is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate

    Same problem here. Also accidently updated my phone from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 and now i even can’t activate my phone, because i previously used gevey. My phone shows the message that there’s no valid sim card inside. My phone had been jailbreaked earlier. I dunno how to jailbreak my phone. I bought my phone that way. Can u help me?

    Hello all,

    I’m happy to say that the customfirmware created by Snowbreeze has done the trick. I’m using my iphone with all its glory. @Akwasi I wanna send a big shout out!!!

    The only draw back will be mac users like myself will have to get a windows laptop to do this.
