I have a 3GS. I upgraded to 5.1 (not 5.1.1). I have 6.1.5 baseboard. I’m having a series of problems, which for some reason seem to occur after I visit the iTunes store via the phone’s icon (not completely sure of this). Things that happen are
- I lose in/out sms, mms ability and call ability due to the phone saying “no service”
- Both Cydia and Installous become inoperative. They only flash when you press the icons.
- Also no internet. Anything icons I am able to access(games, apps, contact list,etc) seems not to recognize the touch of my finger or is delayed substantially.
- Rebooting via “Redsn0w 0.9.10b8b” alleviates the problem, but it happens constantly.
I find myself having to do this daily or even twice daily. I thought the only time I’d need the tether boot was if I let the battery run out. Any suggestions? Wondering if I should upgrade to 5.5.1 or maybe downgrade back to an untethered version? Thanks.
