Subject: 4.3.5 to 5.0.1 System Restore Error – Firmware Upgrade
Iphone Version : iPod

Greetings, I have a problem upgrading my ipod.
I have iPod Touch 4G and I had 4.3.5 redsnow tethered version. Last night I tried to upgrade to 5.0.1 but I got error codes every time. So I decided to format it (restore to defaults) and I thought I could load a custom ipsw. So, I pressed to restore. It cleansed all data from my Ipod. Then I got an error again. Furthermore I investigated it, I learned that I need to put the device in pwned DFU mode. And so I did it and shift clicked system restore and selected 5.0.1 ipsw. When I try to load it checks apple and after approximately 5 mins, I get a 16xx error. (even tho it’s in PWND state) I tried literally everything (changing usb ports, hosts file, restarting pc and itunes and different user accounts) except trying it on another PC.
I’d be very grateful if you can show me a way to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
