Okay here’s my problem. I purchased an iPhone here in America and was told that it was an AT&T iPhone 4. However, I come to find out it is locked to Rogers wireless in Canada. I need to unlock the GSM so i can use my att micro sim on it, is there anyway I can do this ? I currently am running iOS 5.1 Firmware with 4.12.01 Baseband. It is also currently jailbroke using the tethered jailbreak from Redsn0w. Any help is greatly appreciated .

Hi, I’d like to know if you’ve already have a sim to unlock the kind of iphone i’m mentioning. Obviously, my intention is not to need to have it all the time on because if i turn it off, I’ll have to connect to the pc again. I accidentally upgraded my Iphone 4 to iOS 5.1 without saving the base band and my Iphone which was working on GEVEY stopped receiving any Phone net work. Does GPP SIM also unlock Iphone 4 on iOS 5.1 . Many thanks in advance .

I bought my older brother’s iPhone 4 and my little brother thought he should update the iphone by the time i got home. Now its on 5.1 with 4.12.01 . I have searched all over the internet for an unlock. But i haven’t seen an official ETA for the ultrasn0w 4.12.01 BB unlock or any untethered jailbreak for 5.1 . Please kindly reply and thank you in advance.

I have 2 iPhone 4. A year ago you could not unlock them but you could jailbreak them and I did. I had the problem with both of them so I reset them as new. Their firmware is the same 04.10.01 and the version is 4.3.2 and 4.3.5 . I called Att and they unlock my phones from their side but I dint know if with my firmware I can unlock them. I need them both unlock so I can use them overseas. Right now I’m using GEVEY but I would like to upgrade to iOS 5 plus the full unlock from Att because Gevey doesn’t work all the time .

By paying AT&T the termination fees you can get a permanent Unlock for your iPhone 4 Officially on any baseband and firmware. You can use it with any carrier worldwide and update it on iTunes as many times as wanted .
