i need an answer plz
is there anybody to answer me?
The latest version of redsn0w (b4) contaion a pwned DFU option. is iTunes giving errors when this is used? I have had no problems with using iREB or redsn0w pwned DFU
will this maintain a users BaseBand settings for people using Ultrasn0w and Gevey Sim?
iREB does not affect baseband. You need to create a custom .ipsw to preserve your baseband.
Thank You! I made sure I used a custom IPSW via Redsn0w.
Thanks for the prompt reply
I did everything exactly as discribed and I still get the 1602 error. I get it in a DFU mode and Itunes recognises it then I start iREB, choose 3GS and it enters PWND DFU. Then I open Itunes, shit + click on restore and select my custom IPSW which was created by the latest redsnow. It stucks when “Verifying the restore with Apple” and after a 2-3 min i get the 1602 error. Pls help!
1- change usb port or
2- change usb cable or
3- download another ipsw from another site or
4- restart your computer
I don’t know why it says to put your phone in DFU, then to run iREB. Your iDevice does not have to be in DFU to run iREB.
Shut your iDevice off, then run iREB. See how that works.
I did it. I simply downloaded snowbreeze and cr8ed custom ipsw using it instead of redsnow and it worked. I unlocked it with ultrasnow and everything is fine. So if you have probs with redsnow try another programme for creating your custom ipsw. Cheers
yea i use redsnow to jailbreak my iphone4 factory unlock, but it got stuck on apple logo.
so i restore with itunes.
Is snowbreeze jailbreak is good to go?
I did the same as mentioned above but it gets stuck in Preparing iPhone to restore stage and display the 1601/1602 error. Please help !!! I am unable to restore my iPhone and hence not able to jailbreak.

Which iOS version do i need CDMA or GSM?
I want to upgrade to 5.0.1 ,I’ve tried to restore which redsnow custom firmware to preserve my old baseband but I’m getting error 1600 in itune, I’ve used iReb but i still getting error. Please Help me to Upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 with preservation of old BB.
Thanks in advance for any help.
You are going to want the GSM version
You want the GSM version
To fix 1600 error try downloading tiny umbrella (google firmware umbrella)
Once the program is downloaded navigate to settings.
Once in settings you need to disable “set hosts to cydia on exit”
Once disabled, close tiny umbrella, put iDevice in DFU via iREB, and restore via iTunes with custom .ipsw
This has worked for someone else I know so I hope it works for you.

Can i unlock my preserved baseband 3.10.01 after upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 with Old Gevey SIM?
@ wrx7182 Thank you so much! It’s worked for me.
Can i unlock my preserved baseband 3.10.01 after upgrade with old gevey sim?
you should be able to unlock. just make sure your shsh are saved so if for some reason you cannot unlock, you can go back to your previous F.W.
I’m facing battery drain problem, Very bad battery life since upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 can i downgrade again to 4.2.1?
@Chandrashekhar
Then only way to go back to a previous firmware is by having your shsh blobs saved. If you do not have them saved then you are out of luck
Yes I’ve Saved Blobs on Cydia. What is the process to restore to my old firmware 4.2.1? Please help
