Samsung Continue To Feel Apple’s Wrath. The dispute between Apple and Samsung is far from over as Apple increases their list of devices, including media players and mobile phones, which they believe have infringed their patents, from seventeen to twenty-one. Apple are asking the offending devices to be pulled from the shelves and banned following their successful court ruling against Samsung in the San Jose courtroom over a week ago. The four extra devices that Apple are targeting hit the shelves after they filed their original claims in April and Apple are insisting they are still infringing their patents.
Among the devices being branded as Copycat models is Samsung’s new flagship phone the Galaxy S3. Apple sought a ban against the phone back in June but it was put on hold due to the court’s busy schedule.
In Apple’s amended statement they said infringing Samsung products include at least 21 new smartphones, media players, and tablets that Samsung has released beginning in August 2011 and continuing through August 2012 ?
Other devices caught up in this scandal include the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Verizon Galaxy S3. All of which have met with good public response. Coupled with reports of Samsung users ditching their phones Samsung has been hit a lot harder than they could ever have anticipated, although it has been confirmed that Samsung will sue Apple over their iPhone 5, or any future model, should the device(s) have 4G LTE compatibility.
And so the debate rages on whether Apple are trying to monopolize the mobile phone industry or if they are justified in taking such an extreme action against another phone manufacturer. Whatever the answer Samsung are going to ensure they give as good as they get, but can they beat Apple ? What do you think ? . Leave your comments in the comment section below .
